Main Challenges in this Position :
- Fostering Cost consciousness environment across all factory verticals & influencing action.
- Provide support to the Factory Team in areas of cost allocation and finance.
- Prioritising focus on key activities / values in a diverse operation structure
- Evaluate the adequacy of Internal Controls and Systems and ensure the same are operating efficiently and effectively on a continuous basis.
Responsibility and Mandate:
- Developing a MIS Calendar for reporting and highlighting Material consumption Variances, Energy costs, Utility / Manpower Costs etc - Following up on corrective actions on deviations.
- Recommendation after a careful Evaluation & of all Capex Grant proposals for approval along with the Engineering Team & Controlling spends within approved amounts.
- Monitoring Spends within Budgets.
- Evaluation of existing Systems and Controls.
- Cost Allocation.
- Identifying Cost Reduction opportunities.
- Oversee the functioning of a Factory Finance team of 5 members.
- Strict Adherence to Indirect Tax Laws.
- Ensuring physical verification of stocks and assets on a regular rotation basis.
Main Tasks and/or Projects :
- Reviewing on a continuous basis variances on a/c of Material Consumption (Actual Vs Standards) and other standard cost elements including overheads and highlighting deviations for corrective actions.
- Systems & Internal Controls - Strict Adherence to SOP Implementation Project PRISM across Factory verticals.
- Capex - Provide support in Evaluation & Justification of Capex Proposals along with the Factory Team. Monitor spends within Budgets.
- Automation of Payables.
Criteria for Evaluation :
- Sound ERP Skill sets. Preference on SAP
- Analytical Skills & Quality of MIS for decision making.
- Development of Reporting Employees in terms of increasing efficiencies.
- Ensuring existence & Effectiveness of Internal controls.
- Collaborative abilities/Relationship with Factory Personnel.
- Identification of areas where cost savings could be achieved eg in indirect factory overheads etc. Ability to convince/influence.
Education :
Qualified Chartered Accountant (2010 Batch or earlier).
Experience:
- 7 + years of experience managing entire gamut of financial responsibilities in a manufacturing company.
- FMCG experience is desired.
- Exposure to Factory Accounting, Systems and controls.
- Exposure to Factory Costing & Tax Laws.
Competence/Skills:
- Good Managerial Skill sets, Should have led a team of at least 5 reportees.
- Fair Knowledge of Indirect Taxation.
- Hands on working in an ERP environment .
- SAP functional knowledge in FICO.
- Good Collaborative Skill sets.
