Index Product Specialist- Analyst


Your Team responsibilities : As Product Manager (Analyst) within the Index Global Product Development team you will help us in developing and enhancing the commercial framework for new and existing products. You will work with several product managers as well as stakeholders across the organization and around the world. You will learn about global markets, passive investing, and indexes such as Market cap, Factor, ESG and Thematic.

Scope of Responsibility /Expectation :

- Collaboration: The Product Management Analyst will collaborate with senior product managers to ensure product's overall objectives are met. He/she contributes to the product management team by assisting with key projects and developing product vision and positioning.

- Product Pricing: The candidate supports and assists in developing a pricing framework for new products and revising existing products pricing framework by examining various aspects of the product and conducting a market study. Analyze and make recommendations regarding the suitability of a specific commercial model for a particular product. Assist with the implementation of the annual price increase for Index products.

- Product Lifecycle Management: The candidate is responsible for the identification of new opportunities, service improvements, commercial and licensing framework. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting existing products by developing strategies to accelerate the growth of existing products.

- Support the Client Coverage organization: The candidate supports our client facing organization by responding to MSCI client coverage questions related to existing product features, pricing, licensing framework and functionality; developing user guides and documentation; assisting with client communications; and helping to organize periodic training sessions for coverage.

- Successful candidates will have a financial background and an analytical mindset to support existing/new product pricing frameworks, as well as experience in developing excellent working connections with internal stakeholders and external clients.

Specific Knowledge and skills :

Educational :

- Post graduate qualification in Finance (M.Sc./M.B.A./P.G.D.M.)

- CFA qualified or pursuing candidates would be preferred.

Experience :

- Candidate who has experience in financial markets and/or product management.

- Candidate with prior experience in Product Management will be preferred, especially those who have a knowledge of product development from start to end.

- Preferably with an experience of between 1-4 years.

Organizational Skills :

- An ideal candidate will have marketing or product management experience in a financial services organization, with a track record of delivering high quality work on time.

- The candidate must also possess the ability to construct clear-cut product requirements and technical documentations on short notice as required by their seniors.

Communication Skills :

- The position is one that demands constant interaction with senior product management personnel, other teams, and external clients and partners.

- Candidate must possess excellent communication skills in order to effectively make presentations to senior management on a regular basis.

- Candidate must possess excellent people skills, as they will need strong business collaborations with internal stakeholders.

Analytical Skills :

- Analytical skills, coupled with strong technical abilities and a genuine passion for new technologies and analytical tools, are a quality an ideal candidate will possess.

Creativity/Innovation/Pro Active : Candidate must be creative and innovative in problem solving and the formulation of solutions. Additionally, they should demonstrate great initiative and motivation in approaching their workload as well as in learning new interpersonal and analytical skills
