MSBI Delivery Manager - Telecom

The MSBI Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of medium sized, strategic, and complex data integration projects on behalf of our customers. You will be managing a portfolio of projects. This is an off-shore position based out of Chennai.

Basic Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in MSBI suite of products (SSIS/SSRS/SSAS/Power BI (Power View, Power Pivot, Power Query, Power Map) / PerformancePoint (on SharePoint)/MDS/DQS/Data Mining.

- Strong understanding of entire Microsoft DW/BI tool stack including some of the emerging technologies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Ability to plan and articulate technical solutions out of data received from multiple sources by identifying resource requirements, preparing program roadmaps, proactively managing program risks, issues and managing customer/ end user/ expectations.

- Ability to create project plans for the design and implementation of the project; identify features compatible with each milestone and meet the entry and exit criteria for each project phase, with effective utilization, prioritization, and coordination of resources.

- People management, communication and negotiation skills are key for this role. Must be able to manage a team of 12 - 15 data transformation resources including employees and consultants.

- Ability to coordinate deliverables and dependencies with Sr manager /teams across business/IT groups of the Customer to meet project milestones.

- Excellent cross organization collaboration skills with proven leadership experience of managing multiple assignments.

- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills along with good time-management and organizational skills.

- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Data Modeling concepts.

- Ability to assist in scoping and planning new programs - identifying degree of fit with MS technologies and estimating overall timeline/ cost for an implementation.

- Excellent IT project management skills across medium to complex projects, with a track record of successful launches on time and within budget.

- Ability to visualize opportunities for automation of repetitive tasks and interact with Solution architect to convert some of the IT led deliveries to Business led initiatives.

- Should have interest in creating POCs/ Pilot solution / assets out of the work products and assist the organization head in addressing potential customers

- Essentially looking for a Go-getter who can go the extra mile to exceed the expectations of stakeholders / customers and prospects.

Desirable: Knowledge on the US Cable and Telecom industry is a plus
