Primary Duties and Responsibilities We are looking for a data-driven leader with strong problem solving skills to enhance our growth efforts. The AVP of Corporate Finance will report into the CFO and will be responsible for ensuring that all the business units are meeting their profitability and growth targets. The AVP will work in a fast-paced and high-performing environment on: Strategy, Planning, and Management - Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion. - Monitor financial performance of MPS Interactive against CEO's strategic plan. - Communicate, engage, and interact with Board of Directors, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team. - Participate in pivotal decisions that relate to strategic initiatives and operational models. Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting - Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by business unit, forecast vs. budget by business unit, and weekly cash flow by business unit. - Review and analyze monthly financial results and provide recommendations. - Identify, develop, and execute analysis of business initiatives, product launches, and new service offerings. - Develop and maintain monthly and annual operating budgets. - Manage financial planning and analysis. Supervise creation of reports, software/ ERP implementation, and tools for budgeting and forecasting. Accounting Administration and Operations - Manage the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases, and financial software. - Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems. - Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliances, and financial procedures. - Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for government, investors, and company's board of directors. - Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all local, state, and central tax returns. - Work with Human Resources to ensure appropriate legal compliance. - Oversee the month-end close process; constantly review procedures while eliminating inefficiencies. - Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation. - Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems. - Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits. - Mentor and develop a high performance team, manage work allocation, systems training, and performance evaluations. Financial Management - Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability. - Oversee cash, investments, and asset management. - Explore new investment opportunities and provide recommendations on potential returns and risks. - Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners. Financial Relations and Policies - Represent company to banks, financial partners, institutions, investors, public auditors, and officials. - Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, central, and local laws regarding company operations. Qualifications - At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate finance or investment due diligence. - Passion for finance and strategy. - Ability to work with business unit heads to identify trends and patterns in financial performance. - Experience of being involved in an M&amp;A, new product development, or deployment of capital. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. - Education: Chartered Accountant. MBA preferred but not mandatory. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-performing environment. - Highly self-motivated; able to operate autonomously in a dynamic environment.
