mPokket - Senior Product Manager

About mPokket

mPokket is a mobile app based lending platform. We provide small ticket loans to college students and young working professionals in India to meet their temporary cash shortfalls. Our technology architecture and processes allow us to seamlessly onboard users, assess risk, and disburse and collect funds without any physical interface with our customers.

Job role :

- Create the product vision and translate it into a detailed product roadmap and work with the business owners and technology team to execute the roadmap

- Take ownership and drive ongoing improvement in the two major segments - (1) mobile app used by external customers, and (2) software used by internal employees

- Gain a deep understanding of user experience (internal and external), identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive efficiency (for internal users), and incorporate into product design and functionality

- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes

- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and user impact

- Keep abreast of latest technological developments and continuously incorporate newer elements in product functionality after discussion with business teams

- Work with the software development team to (1) architect and define the necessary technical solutions, (2) create a development work plan, and (2) ensure efficient and timely execution of development work

- Build and manage a team of people to execute the above

Requirements :

- 7+ years of total work experience with 5+ years of work experience in product management, with a track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle

- Ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management

- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web and mobile technologies

- Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done

- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- MBA is preferred. MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
