We are looking for a driven, smart, experienced person to build and head our sales to lead us to fast growth. The Head of Sales will be responsible for business development activities, recruiting sales personnel and delivering m.Paani member and partner satisfaction. Individual will also contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy for our growth within Mumbai and ultimately pan-India.

Responsibilities :

- Develop, execute and manage sales strategy to grow our current membership base and partnership network of kirana shops and other retailers. In line with this overall mandate, the Head of Sales will :

- Implement and forecast partner and member growth plan that aligns with overall strategic direction

- Understand member needs based on demographics to appropriately target specific partners

- Dive deep into our sales strategy and understand our potential partners- perspective to find insights that will impact quick conversions

- Lead manage channel-based sales, achieve sales and alliance partner targets

- Map potential sales zones and pockets, and sales targets

- Support development of terms of trade, budgets and channel-partner incentives

- Handle account receivables

- Achieve member and partner network KPIs - including penetration, usage, retention, and increased spends

- Designing and executing hiring strategy for expanding sales team

- Set up the sales process with lead tracking, funnels, etc

- Give strategic guidance to the sales team to establish and meet aggressive targets

- Recruit, train, groom, manage and incentivize a top-notch sales team

- Contribute to the development of general marketing & advertising, member retention, pricing, and distribution strategies, and work in alliance with other key stake-holders, to achieve common business objective

Required Skills and Experience :

- 9 to 17 years of relevant sales and marketing experience, currently working as Zonal Sales Manager or above with Telecom or FMCG companies

- Experience building a sales team, including recruiting, mentoring and managing a team, while achieving direct and group targets

- Must have a strong understand of sales zones and distribution channels within Mumbai and / or Maharashtra

- Experience launching and selling a new product in the market

- Willingness to travel

- Proven track record of successfully allocating and consistently achieving aggressive targets

- Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi, Gujarati is a plus

- High ethical standards

- Excited about working in a start up and launching a new innovative product and building a new market for it

- Strong people manager and public speaking ability

- Bachelors degree required at minimum
