Job Purpose:
Looking for an experienced and strategic leader for the position of Head - DP Revenue and Operations within our Broking Division. This pivotal role involves overseeing and driving the performance of Depository Operations, managing revenue streams from DP charges, and ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering business growth and technological advancements.
Key Deliverables:
1. Depository Revenue and Operations Leadership:
- Lead and manage the overall functioning of Depository Operations
- Activate and Update DMAT Account Base.
- Owner of Revenue from DMAT Accounts and Other Services.
- Implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and ensure compliance
2. Business Growth:
- Leverage data to identify and capitalize on it for unconventional business opportunities for growth.
- Benchmark Competition for avenues of Revenue from DMAT Accounts.
- Leverage External database to increase the internal DMAT Data Base
- Create Market insights of DMAT Transactions
- Drive product enhancements and technological interventions.
3. Settlement Activities:
- Oversee day-to-day settlement activities, including securities pay-in/pay-out.
- Ensure timely and accurate creation of pledges for margin shortfalls/exposure.
4. Audit Compliance:
- Manage audit processes including Concurrent and Internal audits.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are met in accordance with SEBI regulations.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to address audit findings.
5. Technology Proficiency:
- Address internal queries, data requirements, and escalations.
- Utilize data analysis and reporting tools effectively.
- Collaborate with technology teams to drive system enhancements and improvements.
Role Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: Graduate in any discipline, NCFM
- Experience: Minimum 7 years in Stock Broking and DP (Depository Participant) roles, with a background from NSDL and CDSL preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of equity & operations, demat processes, and the broking industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CDSL/NSDL DP Systems, and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
- Audit Experience: Proven experience in handling audit processes, including concurrent and internal audits.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities; skilled in collaborative and cross-functional interactions.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical acumen with problem-solving capabilities; data-driven with the ability to balance business needs with goals.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in managing teams and building business alliances.
- Adaptability: Agile and highly collaborative with a deep understanding of the stock broking business.
- IT Skills: MS Office. Exposure to back office applications will be an added advantage
