KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Analysis and evaluation of potential investment opportunities company and market research, financial and valuation analysis, meetings with prospective companies and intermediaries, industry expert interviews, etc.

- Deal sourcing and managing the deal pipeline develop relationships with investment bankers/ advisors, build sector knowledge and maintain ongoing market awareness

- Coordinate due diligence lead and/or support the various due diligence work-streams on live transactions, helping to assess key investment merits and risks (including commercial, financial, tax, structuring, ESG and other work-streams)

- Create and review financial models, including business plan, valuation and other financial analysis

- Preparation of investment recommendation memorandums and other internal/external materials

- Post-investment portfolio monitoring activities with investee companies

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience

Minimum 6-10 years of work experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare transactions with:

- A reputed PE fund and / or Investment bank and/or Business consulting;

- A pharmaceutical / healthcare companys strategy/ business development/ M&A function;

Knowledge & Skills

- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with full proficiency in financial modeling

- Good understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles and key regulations

- Conversant with deal analysis and documentation

- Outstanding commercial judgment and critical thinking skills, with a creative approach to problem-solving

- Proactive attitude and deep sense of ownership and initiative

- Excellent communication skills, with ability to articulate and present facts and ideas effectively both verbally and in writing

- Good cultural fit: mature personality motivated to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to the team and with low ego attitude

Education

- Excellent academic credentials with MBA (Finance) from Tier 1 Institutes only or CA (Ranker)
