The Role : As the leader of Morningstars fast-growing Sustainalytics team in Mumbai, you will lead a cross-functional team of 100+ research and product analysts, client service and operational experts who drive the development and management of ESG research. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and coordinating cross-functional teams who deliver critical business results for their functional areas. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset, possess strong leadership and influencing skills and partner effectively with senior management, as well as internal and external stakeholders. This position is based in our Navi Mumbai office. Responsibilities: - Establish a vibrant, high-performing, results-driven culture that attracts and retains great talent who are passionate about sustainable investment - Act as the regional Lead overseeing and supporting a cross-functional team of 100+ analysts, technologists, operations, product managers and client service experts, elevating them to do their best work. - Assist with recruiting and developing the capabilities of your team members, positioning them for success. - Engage with global functional business leaders of the teams present in Mumbai, acting as their go-to person for all people and operations related inquiries - Coach and mentor the local team leaders and managers, in delivering their functional objectives - Represent Sustainalytics/ESG division in all internal and external interactions with clients and stakeholders - Connect the Mumbai Sustainalytics team to the global teams in North America and Europe Requirements: - Degree in a financial and management disciplines; previous experience in sustainable investment is preferred - 15+ years of relevant professional experience in financial services - Proven track record of building and motivating high performance teams - Experience with operational excellence, business continuity management, LEAN and AGILE a plus - Experience working in a global environment - Ability to communicate effectively with global clients and internally
