POSITION DESCRIPTION

Analyst/Quality Control Servicing

Position Overview

Morgan Stanley is seeking a qualified candidate for the Credit Risk function responsible for conducting transactional level quality control reviews of Residential Mortgage loan servicing activities; involving loans originated by the Mortgage Division of MSPBNA in accordance with the established quality monitoring program.

Job Description/Position Responsibilities - 

- Perform quality control loan level servicing transaction reviews to validate compliance with servicing requirements and procedures.

- Prepare timely and appropriate quality control testing documentation

- Comply with the quality control testing standards

- Recommend reasonable corrective action relative to quality control findings

- Provide sufficient and timely reporting to management as required.

- Ensure compliance with internal departmental policies, procedures and QA/QC programs

- Escalate high-risk issues and concerns to management

Experience :

- Bachelor's Degree and minimum 2+ years- experience in the mortgage servicing industry

- Quality Control experience in mortgage servicing a plus

- Experience with mortgage origination and servicing systems

- Mortgage reporting

- Experience with Black Knight-MSP(fka LPS) Servicing System a plus

Skills/Abilities :

- Understanding of all aspects of mortgage servicing operations including

a) Loan set-up

b) Adjustable Rate Mortgage Servicing

c) Escrow Accounting

d) Insurance Administration

e) Payoff Processing

f) Customer Service/Complaints

g) Default and Foreclosure Servicing

- Knowledge of mortgage loan documents including post-closing, servicing administration and default servicing

- Good oral & written communication skills

- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple deliverables

- Possess strong problem identification and solution techniques

- Good collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment

- Detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical skills

- Well organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
