Key Responsibilities:

Risk Identification and Assessment:

- Risk Identification: Oversee the identification of risks (both financial and operational) across various business functions, including market, credit, liquidity, operational, and compliance risks.

- Risk Analysis: Lead the analysis of identified risks using advanced risk management tools, quantitative models, and qualitative assessments to determine potential impact and likelihood.

- Risk Profiling: Maintain and update a comprehensive risk profile of the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Risk Mitigation and Strategy:

- Risk Mitigation Plans: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.

- Provide practical recommendations to reduce or eliminate risk exposure and minimize the impact on business operations.

- Internal Controls: Work with internal teams to establish effective controls and procedures to prevent risk occurrence.

- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of these controls regularly.

- Policy Development: Establish and update risk management policies and frameworks.

- Ensure the business is compliant with applicable regulations, and adjust practices in response to changing regulations or emerging risks.

Risk Monitoring and Reporting:

- Monitoring: Oversee the continuous monitoring of risk indicators, ensuring the identification of new risks and the effectiveness of existing risk mitigation efforts.

- Reporting: Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management and key stakeholders, providing insights into risk trends, mitigation progress, and compliance status.

- KPI Tracking: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of risk management strategies and report on results to leadership.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments such as finance, operations, IT, compliance, and legal to ensure risk management strategies are aligned with broader business objectives.

- Training and Awareness: Provide training to team members and business units on risk management best practices, risk identification, and mitigation techniques.

- Consultation: Serve as a subject matter expert for business units in evaluating new projects, business strategies, and investments with respect to associated risks.
