Hell it looks nothing like the world 20 or even 10 years ago. Technology has changed the way we shop, the way we eat, the way we travel and the way we seek information. - But think back to your school days; are the schools today any different from the one you went to or the one your father went to? For some reason the school has stood still while the world around it transformed. Is it any wonder then that this school is delivering students who are unprepared to face the reality of the dynamic world. - We are here to change that. We sought to challenge the status quo with Vishwajyot School Navi Mumbai (Vishwajyot) 15 years ago. We hacked our way into the labs of neurobiologists and cognitive scientists to design a superb learning program, which understands each learner and personalizes the instruction to his/her interests and capabilities. - Amrut and I haven't had a day off since he got back from his MBA at Duke, but all the little achievements keep us going. like the 3x increase in the pace of learning at our schools based on personalised learning. The plan is to accelerate the pace a few more notches - get bigger, better, faster! Schools are only the start, we will use our schools as beachheads to give us a local presence and tackle the problem of employability through a variety of products and technologies which we are developing. Our sights are set on having 100,000 learners working with us till 2030. - Yep, challenging is an understatement, and as our Angel Investor &amp; Advisor Srikant Datar (Sr. Associate Dean Harvard Business School) says - we need some equally crazy people to make it happen! - Our Angel Investors Ashish Arora (Duke University) and Raja Parthasarathy( Morgan Stanley) have always pushed us to hire an excellent team. Heeding their advice we've hired a management team comprising of CXO's and entrepreneurs from leading schools like Duke, ISB, IIM and Kellogg. - To achieve great things, we need more awesome people (were little over 400 people at the moment) and that's why we're back. We're looking for sharp, entrepreneurial people with extremely high learnability, ambition to grow and experience to help us scale operations, brand, marketing and sales. Business Head - High Schools is very broad role with exposure to each facet of the business and it is on each one to define how wide and deep s/he takes it. Being a very broad role a diverse set of people could fit well in it. Anyone who has worked in Management Consulting, FMCG, Telecom or Banking with a few years in the start up world scaling a fast growing company could fit beautifully, but don't worry about your background, if this role sounds exciting do reach out. - You'll be responsible to lead a team, contribute to the noise at the boardroom during brainstorming sessions, establish processes and systems &amp; ensure the deliverable takes place on-time, on-budget and is simply the best. - The role will also be very hands-on, so we are looking for people willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty. This means a Business Head has to consistently do things to like : - Drive revenue in existing schools - Marketing, Sales, Systems and Communication - Grow the network of schools - Business Development, Real Estate, Negotiations, Project, Design - Lead school excellence - Academics, Human Resources, Training, Operations Don't worry too much about the specifics, lets chat about what rocks your boat.
