Milaha - Process Excellence Specialist - Green Belt/Black Belt Certified - Corporate Development Vertical (5-10 yrs)

Job description

This position is for the Milaha Corporate Development Department and will be responsible for :

a. Administering and maintaining company's central document portal

b. Project manage assigned process excellence initiatives, including regular updates, risk mitigation, etc

c. Independently responsible for all deliverables, including documentation, for assigned process excellence projects and work closely with business including documentation, reviewing/advising, training, etc.

Key responsibilities:

- Maintain and administer central document portal, and ensure quality control over contents of the central portal, including acting as the company's Document Controller.

- Map and transform processes with focus on delivering measurable improvements.

- Develop, review and maintain documents related to policies and procedures for business units by collaborating closely with respective department heads and managers.

- Expert at coordinating, organizing and supporting execution of process improvement projects (LEAN and DMAIC) across assigned Milaha business units.

- Proficient at data collection, interpretation, and presentation, for various purposes such as identifying operational gaps, developing and implementing SMART improvement plans.

- Develop and maintain project plan to ensure activities are on time, and provide timely communications on the status of policies and procedures to appropriate stakeholders. Effectively escalate issues.

- Assist with development of visual data/ indicator and management of KPI for improving business monitoring and controllership.

- Manage internal stakeholders, steer and influence without authority; act as a sparring partner and challenge status-quo.

- Ascertain the differences between similar, differences between a formal process and set of ad-hoc activities (important to gauge process weaknesses/strengths)

- Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language. Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.

- Create and maintain templates (documentation standards as per ISO requirements) and write training guides to ensure the consistency and high quality of documents.

- Peer review other policy and procedures related documents.

Required Skills & Experience :

- MBA or Masters in Relevant business degree or Supply Chain Management.

- Green Belt or Black Belt certified and globally recognised project management certification.

- 5+ years extensive experience using leading business improvement methodologies and processes (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma, PMP or similar).

Experience of closing at least 3 green belt / black belt projects;Working and relevant ISO knowledge is preferred.

- Certified PRINCE2, PMP or other globally recognised project management certification. Successfully implement and project manage improvement portfolio.

- Working across geographies in diverse environment is a distinct advantage.

- Advanced Excel modelling skills and proficiency in using statistical tools. Expert at MS Excel, Access, Minitab and other relevant tools like MSBI and more. Ability to develop and use macros will be a distinct asset.

- Advanced process mapping skills in Visio and other relevant software packages.

- English critical; Arabic a plus.

- Ability to simplify technical information into easily understood documents a requirement.

- Knowledge of market leading practices and tools of process excellence and optimization.

- Relevant experience in medium to large size companies. Shipping, SCM, Logistics, Oil & Gas, Airlines, Transportation or back office operations will be preferred.
