The Manager/AVP (based on experience and suitability) will be based in the state capital of the regions (Eastern, Western and Southern Regions) and will support existing staff manage MFIN's engagements in their region of the country. There are 3 vacancies (1 for each region). The role and responsibilities of Manager/AVP - State Initiatives will be as follows: Key Roles and Responsibilities : (a) Strategic lead - Liaise with Key Government functionaries, RBI and other Financial Institutions at State level and other stakeholders such as District Magistrate, Lead District Manager, District Development Manager at District level. - Keep abreast of field developments in assigned states in respect of the financial inclusion ecosystem. - Organize and steer State Chapter Meetings. - Facilitate State and District Level Stakeholders meetings. - Documenting compliance and non-compliance with the MFIN Code of Conduct, including field visits of MFIs and their branches. - Proactively assess field situation and ensure remedial action in case of local issues and flag larger issues to Head Office. - Communicate regularly with all members and stakeholders. - Organise capacity building initiatives of MFIN in the states. - Take other responsibilities as advised by the line manager or any other senior management representative. (b) Management and Review - Provide logistical support to any MFIN program in the northern region. - Quick assessment reports in the time of crisis and coordinates ground level interventions. - Data analysis of assigned states for trend analysis. - Prepare and submit periodical reports to the line manager. - Identify appropriate partners at the state / regional level for fulfilling the objective of MFIN. - Ensure coherence with the policies, objectives, and overall work plans of MFIN. - Take the lead in the collective CSR activities of Member organisations in the region. - Contribute to the state initiative teamwork. (c) Person Specification : Essential/Core 1. A commitment to MFIN's core values of human dignity and worth. 2. Sensitivity towards gender, ethnic and cultural identities. Educational Qualification 3. Graduation (Economics/Finance/Development Studies/Business Management) Work Experience 4. A result oriented professional with 5-8 years of experience in the field of banking/microfinance/ financial inclusion for AVP and 3-5 years for Manager. Knowledge 5. Have a good understanding of the issues and challenges of the financial inclusion space/microfinance sector. Skills and Abilities 6. Able to lead the MFIN work at the state and regional levels. 7. Acumen towards creating dialogue and policy platforms to negotiate conflicts between different stakeholders. 8. Have good speaking and writing skills in Hindi and English. 9. Demonstrated excellence in planning, organizing, supervising, and integrating the work assigned. 10. Willingness and ability to travel. Desirable Educational Qualification : Post-Graduation / MBA Work Experience : Have a good understanding of microfinance field operations.
