Particulars of the Vacancy

Position Level : Sr. Manager / AVP – Project Implementation (Construction Management)

Reporting to : Vice President – Project Management

Job Description : The incumbent would primarily be responsible for –

I. Construction Management

- Detailed planning of site activities

- Reviewing resource planning and assessing additional requirement

- Ensuring deployment of resources in coordination with Contractor & Client

- Close tracking of site progress and coordination with Planning & Monitoring team

- Organize & participate the site review meetings

- Coordinate with various agencies to ensure site safety, quality & progress

- Identify & resolve issues and bottlenecks to ensure progress of project

II. Testing & Commissioning

- Coordination with the EPC Contractor & Engg. Consultant in start-up & commissioning of units

- Review & approving of commissioning test procedures developed by the contractor in coordination with Engg. Consultant

- Confirming compliance with applicable codes & standards and monitoring plant performance tests

- Witnessing the tests, verifying test results and reviewing test reports

III. Specific Demands on the job:

- Candidate should have good knowledge on construction of large thermal power plants.

- Good knowledge about thermal power project process.

Post Qualification Experience: Critical Exposure/Experience:

B.E (Mech) & PGDC of NPTI

12 – 18 years in ‘construction & commissioning’ of medium / large power projects.

Conversant with thermal power project implementation cycle.
