Manager - Finance Lead, India
The Finance Manager role comes with the potential of Leadership & Responsibility. Reporting to the Global CFO the Finance Manager would be handling all day to day finance-related activities including, MIS, Account Payables & Receivables, Credit Control, Budgeting for the financial year. Roles & Responsibilities:
The responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Overseeing all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements;
- Maintaining internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and department budgets and actual expenditures;
- Coordinating all audit activity;
- Consistently analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress, changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the financial status.
The responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

Domain Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsible for three companies under the MGH umbrella in India involved in Freight Forwarding.
- Will be involved in ensuring costs and payments for nominated customers is in line with agreed rates.
- Ensuring that entries made in SAP are correct and accurate as per billed invoices.
- Supervising the AR and AP of the FF division.
- Ensuring correct billing as per SOP and verifying P&L shipment wise and branch wise.
- Maintenance of SAP ledger, bank reconciliation and tracking payments made.
- Assessing and consolidating branch-wise performance and client-wise performance.
- Guiding and driving sales associates to achieve more, keeping them updated on customer performance and coordinating for any defaults.
- Coordination with banks to negotiate good financial deals.
- Maintaining cash cycle, ensuring payments are made in time, and payments cycle is maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :
Required: A Bachelor's degree in finance or associated fields. 3-10 years of PQE in finance in a similar role.
Preferred: A Master's degree from a premier college in finance or associated fields, CAs, CFAs with 3- 10 years of PQE in finance in a similar role in the logistics industry.
PREFERRED SKILLS :
- Robust financial knowledge, and keeping abreast with recent financial trends and new methods developed in the field.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance.
- Ability to lead and motivate team members.
- Ability to effectively handle tight deadlines and operational hiccups with ease
- Good communication skills.
- Technologically savvy, and expertise in Microsoft Professional tools.
- Past history of working with cargo industry
