Position Overview: MGB is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President / Senior Vice President of Securities / Business Valuation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the business valuation team, ensuring the highest standards of quality, precision, and excellence in valuation services. Additionally, the VP / SVP will be responsible for driving client acquisition and business development efforts, expanding MGB's market presence, and cultivating strong relationships with potential clients. Moreover, the ideal candidate should be well-versed with the latest updates and technology used in the field of business valuations.
1. Lead and oversee the business valuation department, managing a team of skilled professionals to deliver timely and accurate valuation reports.
2. Conduct complex valuations of non-real estate assets, including businesses, financial instruments, intellectual property, and other tangible and intangible assets.
3. Stay abreast of the latest updates, industry best practices, and evolving technology in the field of business valuations, ensuring that MGB remains at the cutting edge of valuation methodologies and tools.
4. Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and provide expert guidance on valuation methodologies and approaches.
5. Analyze financial statements, market trends, industry data, and economic factors to develop comprehensive valuation models, incorporating the latest advancements in technology.
6. Review and validate valuation reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, internal guidelines, and the incorporation of technology-driven solutions.
7. Present valuation findings and recommendations to senior management and clients, effectively communicating complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
8. Develop and execute strategies for client acquisition and business development, identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand MGB's client base, leveraging technology-driven marketing initiatives.
9. Lead the preparation of proposals, pitches, and presentations to potential clients, showcasing MGB's expertise, technology-driven capabilities, and value proposition.
10. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional materials, incorporating technology-based tools, to drive business development efforts.
11. Network and represent MGB at industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance brand visibility, share insights on technological advancements in business valuations, and cultivate business relationships.
12. Mentor and train junior team members, fostering their professional development and enhancing their valuation and business development skills, including knowledge of relevant technology.
1) A Master's degree or CA/CFA designation is a must.
2) Proven track record of at least 8+years of experience in business valuation within a reputable financial consulting or valuation firm.
3) In-depth knowledge of various valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF, market multiples, transaction comparable, etc.) and their application to diverse industries.
4) Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and financial modeling techniques, augmented with knowledge of the latest technology used in valuations.
5) Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
6) Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients, senior executives, and stakeholders about technology-driven advancements in business valuations.
7) Demonstrated experience in client acquisition, business development, and relationship management within the financial services industry, emphasizing technology-driven approaches.
8) Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work efficiently under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
9) Location: Mumbai, India. Flexibility to travel, as required.
