Metro Cash & Carry - Market Strategy Manager (3-6 yrs)
As a Market Strategy Manager, the individual would be responsible for overseeing and executing strategies that drive growth and success in the wholesale market for a business. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, market analysis, and tactical execution to deliver results. Also, he must have strong collaboration skills to effectively work with the marketing & CRM team, as well as the ability to use data and market insights to inform marketing strategies and drive Buying customers resulting in business growth in the wholesale market.
The following are the key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive wholesale market strategy that supports the overall business goals.
- Conduct market research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities, and use this information to inform the wholesale market strategy.
- Identify new business opportunities, business gaps, and growth drivers in the wholesale market, and develop plans to take advantage of these opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, offer management, and operations, to ensure the wholesale market strategy is integrated with the overall business strategy.
- Manage and monitor performance metrics to track the success of wholesale market initiatives and make data-driven decisions to optimize strategies.
- Identify TG wise key customers to develop and maintain strong relationships to drive business growth.
- Communicate the wholesale market strategy and its progress to senior management and other stakeholders and be able to articulate the business case for wholesale market initiatives.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and programs that support the wholesale market strategy.
- Ensure that the marketing team has the necessary resources, information, and insights to effectively promote products and services to wholesale customers.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute thought leadership content, case studies, and other marketing materials that showcase the company's expertise and position it as a leader in the wholesale market.
- Provide the marketing team with regular updates on customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends to inform marketing plans and messaging.
- Evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns and programs on the wholesale market and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing strategies.
- Ensure that the wholesale market strategy is aligned with the overall marketing strategy, and that the marketing team's initiatives support the goals of the wholesale market strategy.
- Act as a liaison between the marketing team and wholesale customers, industry partners, and other stakeholders to ensure that marketing efforts are aligned with their needs and goals.
- Marketing elements efficacy analysis to ensure right budget is spent with getting required ROI.
- Develop and execute marketing plans and programs that drive acquisition and activation of new and existing customers through CRM channels as part of buying customer drive.
The ideal candidate for this role needs to have a strong background in market strategy and analysis, minimum 3-6 years of experience in B2B & B2C marketing & strategy, and excellent communication and leadership skills. An MBA/PGDM from reputed business school is a must.
