General Manager HR (Store) - North, East & West.


Job Summary:


The General Manager of Human Resources (HR) provides executive-level leadership and guidance to the organizations HR operations for the specific clusters (North, East & West Regions). The GM is responsible for setting, enforcing, and evaluating legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.

A. Strategy Planning:

- Implementation of company policies for effective management of available human resources and development of human capital across the organization.

- Productivity enhancement and cost optimization initiatives

- Involved in setting up annual KPIs in collaboration with Store management and Headoffice

- Handling Organizational development activities inclusive of Employee engagement surveys, Rewards and Recognition, store level initiatives

B. Personnel Administration

Recruitment & Resourcing;

- Manpower planning in consultation with Store management

- Management of the complete recruitment life-cycle for sourcing the best talent from diverse channels/sources

- Evaluate internal talent movements inline with employee's career aspirations

- Ensuring 100% reference checks for all talent onboarded.

- New hire induction and 30-60-90 day assimilation

Performance Appraisal, talent management & compensation;

- Managing the bi-annual performance process on the performance tool which includes management of low performers

- Developing and constantly nurturing the concept of transparency in feedback process

- Coordination with Headoffice to implement renumeration structures in conjunction with company policy of increment, incentive and other remuneration policies.

- Strongly evaluate growth of internal employee to fill vacancies

- Successful implementation of talent development plan

- Managing all matters related to Wage administration, statutory compliances etc.

Training & Development

- In partnership with Store Training managers, identification, conceptualizing & developing learning & capability development initiatives for improved productivity and quality enhancement.

- Identifying training needs across levels through mapping of skills required for particular positions and analysis of the existing level of competencies

Employee Communication and engagement, Compliance & Reviews

- Drive a culture where employees have the freedom to speak up

- Regular connect with key store management & Headoffice stakeholders

- Setting the rigor around employee communication meetings, regular pulse connect and Open houses.

- Ensuring tracking, closure and close looping of all grievances, POSH, compliance related concerns raised

- Supporting employee driven fun initiatives such as Family get together, Birthday celebrations, theme events, contests, and festival celebrations.

- Institutionalizing Retail HR performance reporting and Success Dashboards.

Required Education:

- MBA in HR from institute of high repute

- Relevant prior experience from MNC and Retail industry

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
