Senior Manager - Taxation - Domestic & International
Position Title : Senior Manager
Span of Control : 3-4 Location - MetLife GOSC Noida
Basic Function :
The candidate will be responsible for tax function for India sites - Noida, Jaipur, Hyderabad. He/ she should have an understanding of the Taxation, Regulatory and Statutory landscape of various geographies (primarily India, US, LATAM, EMEA, etc) along with ability to comprehend tax treaties and laws of various countries. The candidate would also be responsible for driving and proposing tax efficient structures for expansion and investment across various geographies
Essential Functions :
1. Devising business solutions for various tax and SEZ matters and helping in devising tax strategy to support business decisions
2. Ensures governance on tax processes and compliances
3. India Taxation
a) Understanding of various tax laws including Direct tax and Transfer Pricing laws, Indirect Tax laws (GST, etc), SEZ and STPI regulations
b) Managing export incentives
c) Ensuring compliance to above laws
d) Managing various regulatory tax audits, assessments and other litigations
e) Managing quarterly and annual tax provisions and tax forecasting
4. International Taxation and Transfer Pricing
a) Knowledge of International taxation, tax treaties
b) Knowledge of US tax laws and its impact on India
c) Evaluation Cross border transactions and advice tax implications thereof
d) Understanding on Transfer pricing regulations, benchmarking, APA, etc
e) Comprehend laws and treaties of various geographies from the perspective of withholding tax, permanent establishment etc.
f) Knowledge of withholding tax and other taxes on cross border transactions
5. New Geographies support from the perspective of
a) Evaluating and structuring tax efficient investment models
b) Legal entity structuring, Funding options
c) International billing
d) Readiness from tax and finance perspective
e) Tax set ups and registrations in above geographies
6. Provide support for new business cases including tax efficient structuring, funding and Investment structures.
7. Works with the Enterprise tax teams for GOSC related tax reporting/requirements.
8. Understanding tax implications on employees travelling/ seconded / deputed across geographies for long and short term assignments
9. Managing consultants and Contract management (MSA, vendor contracts)
10. Liaison with regulatory bodies
11. Perform various internal and external MIS and reporting

Education Requirements:
- Degree with at least 8-15 years of education. For any other specific educational qualification.
- Candidate should be a Chartered Accountant
Work Experience Requirements :
- 8-10 years of tax (Direct and Indirect tax laws) experience in a related field or experience in Insurance organizations / Banks / BPO or a Big 4 consulting organization advising IT/ ITES organization shall be preferred.
