A day in the life of this role
We are looking for a proactive and analytical professional to join the Founder's Office as a Corporate Development Analyst. This high-impact role will be instrumental in driving Meritto's inorganic growth strategy through M&A, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives. You will work directly with leadership to identify potential acquisition targets, support deal execution, and contribute to strategic planning. Responsibilities
- M&A Scouting: Identify and evaluate potential acquisition and investment opportunities in Education and SaaS sectors aligned with Meritto's strategic vision.
- Financial Modelling & Valuation: Build detailed financial models, perform valuations, and craft compelling investment theses.
- Due Diligence: Support end-to-end due diligence efforts - spanning business, financial, operational, and legal domains.
- Deal Execution: Coordinate with internal stakeholders, bankers, and legal counsel for deal structuring, negotiations, and closure.
- Strategic Research: Monitor market trends, emerging players, and competitive dynamics to provide actionable insights.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Finance, Legal, and GTM teams to ensure smooth integration and strategic alignment.
What we'r What we're looking for
- Experience: 2-4 years in Corporate Development, Investment Banking, Strategy Consulting, or a related role with exposure to M&A.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of SaaS business models, market landscapes, and M&A frameworks.
- Analytical Rigor: Proficiency in building models, evaluating business metrics, and using data to support decisions.
- Execution Mindset: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Stakeholder Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
