Overall Job Summary: 1. Handling day-to-day operations of Warehouse right from receiving of inventory till shipping to customers, while ensuring adherence to EHS norms 2. Manage Warehouse Operation within the given budget for the year 3. Lead the inventory management process for better space and cost utilization 4. Implementing continuous improvement plan to bring in efficiency in cycle time and shipping accuracy 5. Responsible for 100% compliant warehouse operation while ensuring uninterrupted service to customers, both internal and external 6. Be a people manager and work towards developing team members Specific Job Roles: - Manage day-to-day Warehouse Management Activity by ensuring 1. Coordinate with Toll Manufacturing and Supply Chain team for managing inflow of inbound materials 2. Ensure timely unloading of inbound vehicles and physical receipt of Inbound materials in the warehouse and completing timely put-away 3. Ensure timely invoicing of Delivery Orders generated each day 4. Ensuring picking accuracy is maintained well within target 5. Ensure timely hand over of shipments to Transporters by coordinating with Logistics Team 6. Ensure customer complaints are thoroughly recorded and resolved within stipulated timeline 7. To supervise and lead the Inventory Management process 8. To ensure adherence to cycle count policy and publish weekly/monthly reports 9. To manage positioning of inventory in the warehouse on the basis of fast-movers/slow-movers and respective Business Units 10. To ensure periodic checking of slow moving/ non-moving inventory and alert Commercial and Supply Chain team for liquidation of the same 11. Supervise Inventory Write offs by ensuring 12. Movement of inventory to blocked stock based on various identified parameters like Near Expiry, Quality rejections, cycle count errors, inbound damages etc. and are submitted to management seeking approval to write off. 13. Carrying out write off's of approved items in SAP &nbsp;Implement Corporate EHS principle by : 1. Ensuring that the team is well aware of EHS norms and principles and ensure that the same is followed diligently 2. Ensuring that safe storage practices as per Merck Chemical Compatibility are adopted and followed in the warehouse 3. Timely reporting of safety observations, near misses, injuries etc by setting departmental objective for the same 4. Ensure trainings are provided to the team members in coordination with EHS dept and implement a strong safety culture within the team Ensure Regulatory Compliance for the Warehouse by : 1. Periodic audit of processes, documents for Regulatory compliance in areas of Legal, Product Licenses, Storage, Operation, Labour, Environment etc. 2. Manage customer, third party and regulatory audits at warehouse 3. Be the single point to resolve any local regulatory issue or Contract Labour disputes Implement Continuous Improvement Program (CIP) and Operational Excellence initiatives by : 1. Always looking out for opportunities to make improvements by continuous evaluation of the existing process and setting higher performance targets 2. Continuously training and motivating the team to generate fresh ideas 3. Continuously looking for operational cost savings through process improvement and achieve targeted cost savings in relation to annual Warehouse budget &nbsp;Efficiently managing the team by : 1. Setting performance objectives for the team members under both FTE and Contractual, keeping in mind the overall departmental objectives 2. Putting in place a strong performance appraisal system 3. Analyzing the training needs of the team members and making arrangements to conduct training whenever required 4. Ensuring individual development plans are made and is aligned with a robust succession plan Essential Requirements: - Knowledge of HAZCHEM Compatibility with reference to Handling, Storage and Shipping - Knowledge of Temperature requirement and storage requirement for various shipping modes as per product category. - Knowledge of Warehouse Regulatory Compliances and well experienced in handling contract labor disputes Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements: - Education: Graduate in Science (Preferably) with Management Degree - Experience: More than 10 years of relevant experience of managing warehouse, specifically a Chemical, Pharma or Paint Industry - Knowledge/Skill: 1. Good knowledge about Hazardous Chemicals 2. Ability to manage a large team of more than 50 3. Good SAP knowledge 4. Good Analytical capability. 5. Stronghold in English communication in both written and verbal. 6. Knowledge of the local language would be preferable.
