Merchandising Specialist - FMCG (5-7 yrs)

Create - Best-in-Class Planograms for our retail and wholesale partners by working in conjunction with the MDC US team to support the Category Management and National Retail Sales departments in executing Merchandise Planning functions

2. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Create, Update and Maintain planograms based on seasonal/cyclical requirements


- Implement merchandise assortments that deliver overall category growth through a combination of internal merchandising tools coupled with retailer specified guidelines


- Analyze retail and market level data to develop planogram schematics utilizing JDA Space Planning software platform


- Create relevant product assortments and optimal space planning that drives sales across the business


- Maintain individual and project specific data, for multiple purposes such as project monitoring, status reports etc.


- Own the project by working towards the deadline as a team


- Practice PDCA techniques to constantly evolve and adapt during the journey of a project


- Learn and develop merchandising expertise from senior team members

3. BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

- Key departments to work with: MDC US, Category Management (ABI), Category Management (Retailer)

- Evaluation Criteria (Primary KPIs): Project Delivery (MDC on Time) and Project Quality (ADOP parameters)

- Key Contacts: MDC Manager (GCC), MDC Team Leads (STL), MDC Manager (STL), CSM (STL)

- Geographical Scope: USA

- Structured space planning software and company overview training program provides basic industry and specific role knowledge prior to executing live merchandising planograms

- Certified Category Management web-based training available to assist with industry, analytical and category management skills

- Learn CPG industry specific sales processes and merchandise strategies through collaborative projects

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

- Graduate in the field of Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Retail Management or other equivalent degree or equivalent work experience

- Experience in business, marketing, or related field a plus

- Awareness of Merchandising concepts and projects

- JDA Space Planning and other Intactix packages (basic proficiency)

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel (Basic to Intermediate).

- Excellent Analytical, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning skills

- Ability to collaborate with a wide range of professionals, strong oral and written communication skills, good judgment, time-management skills, and creativity

- Excellent organizational skills/ability to prioritize

- CPG industry or alcoholic beverage sales experience is a plus

- Flexible and capable of adapting to rapidly changing situations

- Ability to follow established protocol and work independently or within a team
