Mercados EMI - Senior Analyst - Policy & Regulatory

Assistance in Pursuing Assignments in Policy and Regulatory space in India and abroad.

Experience and Qualification

- Around 2-4 years of relevant experience in policy and regulatory area for power sector.

- B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical/ Electronics/Mechanical

- MBA in Finance/Operations/ Marketing/ Power Management (Preferred)

Job Expectations and required Skills

- Detailed knowledge of the Indian Power & Regulatory sector, including its commercial, technological and regulatory drivers

- Experience in handling regulatory assignments pertaining to generation, transmission, distribution and renewable functions including assistance to utilities and State/Central Commission(s). The assignments include experience related to ARR, framing of regulations, feed-in tariffs, preparation of regulations, petitions pertaining to change in law etc.

- Experience of working with regulators/ distribution utilities/ transmission utilities/ generation companies. Should be well versed in presenting the cases before the State/Central Commission/top management.

- Provide support in meeting clients in public and private domain and establish/maintain client relationships.

- Support in Business Development by participating in tenders and supporting the team in bid submission especially with respect to writing the A & M for proposals.

- Candidate should have excellent report writing skills.

- Analytical and project management skills including the ability to implement projects (including more than one project at a time)

- Experience in MS Excel based Financial Modeling

Location - Mumbai (Base Location)

The candidate is expected to travel to meet clients in Western/Southern region of India along with the Director/MD.
