Mercados EMI - Senior Analyst/Manager - Policy & Regulatory (5-8 yrs)

Job title : Sr. Analyst/Manager Policy and Regulatory

Reports to : L1 Project Manager; L2- Director Regulatory

Job Purpose :

Position shall be responsible for handling complete Regulatory/Tariff related matters pertaining to Generation and Transmission company for one of our reputed client.

Experience and Qualification :

- Around 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a reputed consulting firm

- B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical from NITs/IIITs and top Govt. Funded Technical Institutes Only (Mandatory)

- MBA in Finance/Operations/ Marketing/ Power Management (Preferred)

Duties and Responsibilities :

- Understanding and implementation of various applicable regulations

- Preparation of tariff petitions, tariff models and management of entire tariff determination process

- Regular engagement with clients and legal counsels in dispute adjudication process

- Handling energy billing and commercial functions

- Initiate, develop and support new and existing business opportunities

Required Skills :

- Detailed knowledge of the Indian Power & Regulatory sector, including its commercial, technological and regulatory drivers

- Analytical and project management skills including the ability to implement projects (including more than one project at a time) and interacting with clients

- An ability to multi-task effectively and balance time between project delivery and business development support effectively

- Strong expertise in MS Excel based Financial Modeling

- Experience of handling tariff filing related assignments, commercial agreements (PPA), bidding, litigations, etc. of generation and transmission companies

Working conditions / Location :

The base location would be Gurugram / Delhi.

The applicant should be open to travel within and outside country to manage Projects. He/ She should also be willing to relocate (if required) to other locations within country based on project requirements.
