India has nearly 60 million MSMEs and Meesho's long term goal is to enable 100 million businesses including individual entrepreneurs to pave their paths of success online across India. With our new vision firmly in place, we intend to simplify ecommerce for all small businesses in India. This will help us build a platform which is pro-small businesses with policies and tools to help even the smallest of sellers to list and conduct business on Meesho. We are confident that this will empower small business owners to reach customers through all online channels.

Our Story

Meesho was started by Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Barnwal with the idea to enable mom & pop stores to sell online in 2016. They soon realised that their primary users were actually sellers who did not own a shop, but sold through their social network. They realised that this is how small businesses will work in the future and built a product to democratise social commerce and enable literally anyone to start their own venture. They quickly pivoted to enabling social sellers/entrepreneurs monetise their network by providing supply, logistics and payments infrastructure.

From its humble beginnings six year ago, Meesho has successfully enabled over 15M+ individual entrepreneurs to start their own online businesses with zero investment, bringing e-commerce to more than 45M+ customers across India. Till date the company has delivered orders from 100K+ registered suppliers to over 26,000 pin codes in more than 4,800 cities, generating over 500 crore in income for individual entrepreneurs and serving customers in more than 4,500 Tier 2+ cities - truly bringing e-commerce to Bharat.

Meesho is Series E funded and has raised $300 Million in a fresh round of investment led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, the world's largest technology-focused venture capital fund. The funding round also saw participation from existing investors such as Prosus Ventures, Facebook, Shunwei Capital, Venture Highway and Knollwood Investment.The latest round of investment means that Meesho's valuation is now at USD 2.1 billion - taking it to unicorn status.

Meesho is headquartered in Bengaluru, India and was one of the three Indian companies to be selected for Y Combinator in 2016. It was also a part of the first batch of Google Launchpad - Solve for India programme. In 2018 and 2019 (for two consecutive years), Meesho was named by LinkedIn as LinkedIn India's Top 25 Startups - 2019 to work for based on top talent pull, jobseeker interest and levels of professional engagement with its employees. Meesho has also featured on Y Combinator's Top Companies List 2019 and its recent 2021 list, is the only Indian startup to make it to Fast Company's The World's 50 Most Innovative Companies in 2020 and was declared as The Young Turks Startup of the Year at The India Business Leaders Awards 2020 by CNBC TV-18. Our CEO and Co Founder Vidit Aatrey has been featured in The Economic Times- 40 Under 40 list of India's Hottest Young Business Leaders 2020. And recently, Vidit and Sanjeev have made it to Fortune India's 40 Under 40 list of entrepreneurs.

Farmiso:

- Grocery has the biggest share of the overall retail spend in India and is projected to be a $800B market in 2024, of which the majority contribution comes from non-metro cities. Grocery market in Metro and Tier 1 has become crowded with a lot of players trying to solve the supply chain but the higher cost of logistics restricts these players to disrupt the lower tiers.

- At Farmiso, we are building the most cost-effective distribution channel using micro entrepreneurs to disrupt the grocery market in lower tier cities of India. We are onto the journey of creating a hyperlocal farmer marketplace for fresh food and vegetables and solve the intermediate inefficiencies in the distribution system.

- Farmiso is an early stage mini start-up within Meesho with a completely different supply chain and modus operandi. We are a bunch of high energy enthusiasts working towards creating something cool and something big.

What we are looking for:

- The Program Manager Sales Analytics is a business savvy individual with expertise in analytics and building compelling executive level data visualizations.

What to expect:

- Implement sales dashboards which help better analyze channel wise, region wise sales data across various parameters

- Handle external vendors and agencies as well as liaise with internal stakeholders like Sales and Supply Chain

- Be involved in aspects of Sales Promotion strategy and Route to Market Strategy

- Help the sales team achieve its potential by accurate forecasting and optimization of budgets

Potential Backgrounds:

- 3+ Yrs of experience in Sales, and Program Manager role

- Good affinity towards data

- Preferred Masters from a Premier Institute

- A strong understanding of channel sales in FMCG is a must
