Meesho is Series D funded with a new investment round led by South African company Naspers Ventures along with participation from Facebook and existing investors such as SAIF, Sequoia, Shunwei Capital, RPS and Venture Highway. Meesho is headquartered in Bengaluru, India and was one of the three Indian companies to be selected for Y Combinator in 2016. It was also a part of the first batch of Google Launchpad - Solve for India programme.

Job Brief:

The Design Director will be leading the design team at Meesho. As the head of the team, his role will be that of functional leadership, which will include managing the team of four, setting the OKRs (Objectives & Key Results), and also envisioning and setting direction for the entire team. He or she will lead functional activities and work very closely with the Product team to set processes, review and run ongoing projects efficiently.

Responsibilities:

- You should be able to deliver active outcomes.

- You will drive change through currency, adaptability and innovation.

- You should be able to transform ideas, business opportunities, research and creative vision into a product or service that will provide useful and desirable outcomes for users.

- You will establish best practices related to brand consistency and standards to design. thinking and processes that drive digital experiences.

- You will own all UX assets and deliverables associated with the design team.

- You will be leading a bunch of smart design folk in a startup environment through all phases of design, product development, shipping and ietration.

- You will manage and collaborate closely with all business stakeholders at Meesho such as product owners, tech leads, developers, strategy, PM and design.

- You will always rely on data driven solutions and partner actively with the user research team to incorporate customer insights.

Must-Have Skills

- Work experience of 7+ years of relevant experience

- 4+ years of experience working with customer platforms

- Strong analytical rigor and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication & Interpersonal skills

- Proactive takes initiative, self-motivated, team player

- Willingness to hustle
