About Meesho:

Meesho is building a disruptive distribution channel via social selling on WhatsApp, Facebook, and other social channels. Meesho has so far enabled more than 50 thousand suppliers and 7 million entrepreneurs to start and grow their online business without any investment, providing tools around sourcing, logistics and payments. These entrepreneurs are small retailers, housewives, students, retired citizens, and many other aspiring entrepreneurs across India.

Farmiso:

Grocery has the biggest share of the overall retail spend in India and is projected to be a $800B market in 2024, of which the majority contribution comes from non-metro cities. Grocery market in Metro and Tier 1 has become crowded with a lot of players trying to solve the supply chain but the higher cost of logistics restricts these players to disrupt the lower tiers.

At Farmiso, we are building the most cost-effective distribution channel using micro entrepreneurs to disrupt the grocery market in lower tier cities of India. We are onto the journey of creating a hyperlocal farmer marketplace for fresh food and vegetables and solve the intermediate inefficiencies in the distribution system.

Farmiso is an early stage mini start-up within Meesho with a completely different supply chain and modus operandi. We are a bunch of high energy enthusiasts working towards creating something cool and something big.

Job Brief:

We are looking to onboard a Competitive Intelligence Manager, who will take end to end ownership of capturing and analyzing information about competitors to drive internal strategy changes and tactics. The key objectives of this role will be :-

1) Identifying key competitive differentiation, analyzing go-to-market tactics, product feature strengths, gaps, product categories & pricing details.

2) To develop & maintain a strong internal/external network to collect competitive insights.

3) Capturing market insights by learning with customers and industry experts to understand how a company is performing versus competitor offerings.

4) Identify and monitor competitors and research market conditions or changes in the industry that may affect business.

5) Designing SWOT analysis for both current & potential competitive landscape.

What we are looking for:

A strong problem solver with first principle thinking, ready to get hands dirty while managing teams, someone who eats, sleeps and breathes ownership and is looking forward to being in an extremely high impact role.

Potential Backgrounds:

1) 3 - 5 years of research & operations experience into F&B, high growth opp based start-ups.

2)Looking for candidates from Tier 1 institutes like IIT/ISB/IIM A,B,C.

3) Strong primary intelligence collection skills.

4) Strong analytical skill is required.
