What will your role at Meesho be?

In your role as the Assistant legal manager, you will provide advice, counsel, and support on legal issues related to a wide range of transactions. You will find yourself :

- Partnering with business to negotiate, draft, review, and finalise various contracts.

- Modifying our existing contract templates and drafting new ones to suit our rapidly growing business.

- Working with business to evaluate new initiatives and launches from a legal standpoint.

- Understanding the laws applicable to us and ensuring we comply with them.

- Analysing and proposing solutions to complex business problems.

- Supporting and liaising with external legal counsels on disputes and litigation and occasionally drafting and responding to notices.

- Handling IP registrations and allied work.

- Drafting and overseeing the implementation of internal policies and procedures.

- Understanding business and contextualising legal advice to business needs.

- Along with the legal team, effectively contributing to the legal function and assisting with other tasks and responsibilities that arise from time to time.

To be able to fulfill these responsibilities you will be someone:

- With a law degree

- With at least 3 years of work experience, preferably at an e-commerce company or law firm where your work involved commercial contract review.

- Who pays attention to detail but is able to perform well in high pressure situations.

- Who takes ownership and independently handles the assigned tasks and responsibilities.

- With a strong understanding of business and the ability to contextualise such understanding to business needs.

- With strong interpersonal skills in addition to good communication and drafting skills.

- Who believes in adding value to the legal function and to Meesho.
