Medvarsity - Manager - Software Quality Assurance

Successful candidates will be an automation evangelist, results driven and passionate about delivering great quality software products and solutions. He/she should be experienced and hands-on, with good analytical skills, problem solving with great team working and collaboration capabilities to work with product development teams to build end to end automation.

Responsibilities :

- Work with cross-functional team members from Development, QA, and other Central teams to improve performance and scalability of multiple software products

- Coordinate testing project management by contributing task definitions and estimates for testing project plans and preparing progress reports of Quality Assurance management team

- Lead the testing & QA initiative by definition and implementation of Automation tools and standards

- Participate in defect and issue resolution process

- Participate in packaging, delivery and support of automated testing suites for use by technical groups within Medvarsity.

- Contribute to the selection, validation and implementation of Quality Assurance tools

- Develop and maintain manual & automated test scripts from provided functional and technical designs, functional test scripts or ad hoc for bug fix testing

- Perform project tasks and solve problems with little or no assistance and guidance

- Serve as a mentor for one or more lower level staff

- Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms

- Deeper understanding of technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning

- Provide technical leadership, be a role model to test engineers & software engineers pursuing technical career path in engineering, coach and mentor other engineers in processes and methodologies

- Familiar with Agile SDLC, Github/Bitbucket

- Working exposure to tools like Sonarqube, TestPyPi, Test Repositories, frameworks like pyTest, Cucumber among others.

Qualifications :

- Graduate/Postgraduate in Engineering, Technology, Science

- Have led a team of 4 - 6 test engineers

- Have 10+ years of overall experience including 3+ years of Testing Management experience leading Engineering Quality Assurance teams for multiple End Point products.

- Experience in managing vendors/consultants for projects is an added advantage.

- Have collaborated and partnered effectively with cross functional teams to execute on shared goals.

- Ability to be flexible and productive in a fast-paced environment with geographically distributed teams.

- Expert knowledge in setting manual/automated testing for technologies likePHP, Python and Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP) .

- Excellent collaboration and communication (verbal and written) skills

- Experienced in automation framework development & test automation in Java/Python.

- Experience in Performance testing is desired, and coordination for security testing will be an added advantage.
