MedTech Expert - Health Insurance - Global Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is assisting a MedTech company in expanding its market presence by getting its products listed with prominent health insurance providers. The objective is to secure approvals for new medical products to be included in the approved product lists of various insurers. This initiative is part of a larger strategy to strengthen the client's position in the MedTech industry, increase market visibility, and achieve key product approvals within the insurance sector.

To drive this initiative, the client is seeking a MedTech Expert with extensive experience working with health insurance providers, particularly in managing provider networks. The ideal candidate will have been responsible for maintaining contracts with hospitals and providers, securing new product approvals, and contributing to policy creation and design.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide expert consultation on market landscape, including insights on product types, key competitors, market sizing, and insurance company archetypes

- Offer expertise in policy design to align the client's product offerings with insurance standards

- Support the client in obtaining approvals for 2-3 products with key insurers

- Attend weekly meetings (2-3 hours per week) to provide strategic guidance and collaborate with the client's team

- Analyze contracts and assist in expanding the product listings with health insurance players

Your Background:

- 15 to 20 years of experience in the health insurance or MedTech sectors

- Proven track record of working with health insurance providers on the provider network side, including managing contracts with hospitals/providers and securing product listings with insurance companies

- Experience in policy design and navigating product approval processes

- This is an initial 4 to 6-week contract with a flexible, part-time commitment of 3 to 4 hours per week. The role offers a hybrid working model, with occasional travel to Mumbai for in-person client meetings when required.
