Medlife - Assistant General Manager - Process (10-15 yrs)

This role is designed to facilitate leadership for the high demanding, fast-paced last mile operations of delivery of health care services in an e-commerce environment. Reporting to the COO, this role will play a pivotal part in ensuring success of the company's commitment to its customers. Ability to adapt, drive change and deploy new solutions are essentials. Working closely with Product/Tech, Procurement, Customer Support, Finance and Marketing teams, the role is expected to drive operational efficiencies and deploy new processes, models, and programs aimed at improving key performance metrics around overall service levels.

Role is expected to have a hands-on approach and ability to mix strategy to facilitate change and achieve short and long-term goals. Ability to build and manage partnerships will be a key aspect. Introduce new and innovative ways of managing the delivery network (included but not limited to utilization of different transport models, different delivery network models, new sources and innovative models for workforce planning). Manages day-to-day relationships with multiple Temp Staffing Providers and monitors delivery metrics across Last mile field executives.

Candidate with excellent communication skills, detail oriented approach, passion towards customer service and experience in managing big teams (both internal and external) to drive operations will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities :


- Partner with stakeholders to define the last mile strategy and its execution


- Identify 3PL partners and drive delivery metrics - SDD, NDD or as per customer commitments


- Drive and own the productivity and performance accuracy in last mile operations


- Develop or improve processes to scale up performance metrics and to drive cost efficiencies; this will also involve close coordination with product tech teams


- Plan, Execute, Analyse and Improve last mile operations to achieve required productivity and CPS targets


- Identify risks and issues for effective resolution ensuring no impact to service levels - Collaborate with internal stakeholders - sales & marketing, procurement, customer support, finance to ensure internal processes/expectations are satisfied


Other Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's (MBA in operations) degree in related field, 10 to 12 years of experience in first and last mile operations and at least 4 years of experience in handling large scale e-commerce last mile operations at regional/national level - Passion to deliver a delightful customer experience


Job Knowledge/Skills - Ability to understand key metrics, analyse and conclude actions required for process improvements and operational efficiencies; Business and Financial planning experience is preferred. Ability to develop, test and execute ideas to improve customer experience and operational efficiencies with attention to details. Ability to build strong relationships with partners and vendors. Enforce KPIs and improve SOPs. Ability to handle the fast paced and changing priorities with required urgency. Managing escalations and crisis with exceptional problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task
