Role Summary : 

The Manager / Senior Manager - Programmatic Media Buying is responsible for delivering successful performance-based programmatic campaigns across various supply sources. The Director will provide thought leadership on performance strategies, optimization approach, and campaign architecture and will serve as a key lead in the expansion of relationships with our advertising partners.

- This role requires a highly collaborative individual who is analytical and uses data-enabled problem-solving capabilities to deliver flawless media buying strategies. The ideal candidate will have deep dive experience in programmatic media buying (text, display, video, mobile, social); extensive in-console experience with DSPs and exchange-based media buying; superior analytical thinking ability, excellent presentation/client servicing skills and experience managing direct reports.

People Management: Managers/Sr Managers typically manage 1-2 Associate Managers/Business Development Associates/Sr BD Associates/ Campaign Managers & other several entry level team members reporting to them.

Job responsibilities:

- Develop, evolve and refine the media buying process

- Execute all aspects of the buying processes - campaign strategy, tagging recommendation, console setup, delivery management (pacing, budget, spend), analysis and reporting

- Liaise between the media buying team and other key internal groups on the account (product, research analytics, ad ops, and operations)

- Mentor and develop his/her unit, including goal setting, collaboration, training, feedback reviews and other career development opportunities

- Ensure that his/her team is fully trained on all aspects of campaign setup, optimizations, tactics, data analytics as well as the development of writing and presentation skills

- Assist the product team with the design of tools to allow automated single-point campaign optimization

- Develop best practices for setting-up campaigns

- Establish ongoing campaign-specific optimization strategies and tactics (performance and creative).

- Establish internal infrastructure and process to ensure 24/7 campaign monitoring

- Deliver case studies on success stories

Skills required:

- Deep knowledge of digital media systems and tools (i.e. ad servers, attribution, tagging, ad verification)

- Data analysis experience

- Proficiency in MS Office; deep experience with data analysis in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions

- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

- Excellent written and verbal communicator

- Forward / innovative thinker with ability to design / deliver within current capability, process, technology

- Ability to deal with difficult/sensitive situations & appropriately resolve conflicts

- Train entry level employees

- Collaborative team-player yet comfortable with independence

- Can multi-task, prioritize, and balance time across clients, multiple partner relationships and internal initiatives daily while maintaining a profound attention to detail

Work Experience: 

- 1+ years digital media buying experience across display, video, social and mobile for Manager / Sr Manager roles & 1-2 years for Campaign Managers/Associate level roles.
