Designation : Associate Director - Programmatic Search

Qualifications :


- Post Graduate/MBA from a Tier 1 B-School a must, B.E/B.tech grads highly preferred due to the Techno-commercial scope of the role. Understanding of technology is a big plus.


Role Summary :

- The Associate Director/Director is responsible for delivering successful search-based programmatic campaigns across various supply sources.

- He/She would provide thought leadership on buying strategies, performance optimization approach, and campaign architecture and will serve as a key lead in the expansion of relationships with our advertising partners.

- The role involves managing and actively growing our programmatic search demand that presently contributes to over 50% of our total programmatic business.

- This role requires a highly collaborative individual who is analytical and uses data-enabled problem-solving capabilities to deliver flawless search buying strategies.

- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in programmatic search buying (text, display, video, mobile, social), search demand optimization, OpenRTB CPM buying for Performance demand (CPA, CPC, CPL); superior analytical thinking ability, excellent presentation/client servicing skills and experience managing direct reports.

- The Associate Director will manage 2-3 Managers/Sr.Managers who are individual supply source specialist or strategist with several entry to mid level team members reporting to them.

Role Sketch :

- Develop, evolve and refine the programmatic search buying process

- Oversee overall programmatic search strategy by working across supply sources to improve buying efficiency (across campaign setup, reporting & tracking & client servicing (internal & external).

- Liaise between the Programmatic search team and other key internal groups on the account (product, research analytics, ad ops, and operations)

- Mentor and develop his/her unit, including goal setting, collaboration, training, feedback reviews and other career development opportunities

- Ensure that his/her team is fully trained on all aspects of campaign setup, optimizations, tactics, data analytics as well as the development of writing and presentation skills

- Collaborate with the product/tech/engineering teams to streamline campaign management interfaces

- Develop best practices for setting-up campaigns

- Establish ongoing campaign-specific optimization strategies and tactics (performance and creative).

- Establish internal infrastructure and process to ensure 24/7 campaign monitoring

- Establish KPI's across internal stakeholders (Senior managers & individual campaign managers) that tie into overall business unit goals and objectives

- Deliver case studies on success stories

Skills required :

- Deep knowledge of digital media systems and tools (i.e. ad servers, attribution, tagging, ad verification)

- Data analysis experience

- Proficiency in MSFT Office; deep experience with data analysis in Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions

- Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

- Excellent written and verbal communicator

- Forward / innovative thinker with ability to design / deliver within current capability, process, technology

- Ability to deal with difficult/sensitive situations & appropriately resolve conflicts

- Train entry level employees

- Collaborative team-player yet comfortable with independence

- Can multi-task, prioritize, and balance time across clients, multiple partner relationships and internal initiatives daily while maintaining a profound attention to detail

Work Experience :

- 7+ years of digital media experience across display, video, social and mobile.
