Job Description:

As a Assistant Vice President of Account Management, the candidate will be responsible for implementing strategic relationships with customers and ensuring smooth transition of accounts and meeting the committed SLAs. They will coordinate with various departments internally and externally to maintain customer satisfaction and achieve said business goals.

Financial & Cost-Control Management:

1. The candidate will ensure that revenue goals are met and healthcare services are administered as and when required

2. The candidate will also be held responsible to ensure Loss control management wrt to the accounts

3. Will be responsible for constantly reviewing and understanding customer contracts through risk management activities including assurance of SLA reviews on a regular basis, assurance of claim accuracy and ensuring all escalations from the members are addressed

4. Ensuring claims accuracy payment and administrative policies, rate maximization through ongoing benefit analysis and adherence to requirements of the accounts legal and regulatory environment.

5. Develops and maintains contract compliance tool(s) for periodic assessment of company performance to customer requirements (including performance standards, etc.).

Customer Interaction and Service Delivery:

1. Will be responsible for overall CSAT for all accounts in the assigned region.

2. Develop and maintain a strong relationship with all key stakeholders for each customer.

3. Mentors and helps the account management team handle and resolve escalations raised by members.

4. Develops strong relationships with key departments within the organization to ensure smooth flow of your goals.

5. Maintains good relations with key customer stakeholders which can in turn lead to annual account retention and growth.

6. Ensures timely delivery of customer facing services by coordinating with teams internally.

7. Works closely with the claims and provider teams to resolve escalated issues in services.

Gauging New Opportunities:

1. Work closely with peers from the account management team to understand the current gaps and how services can be made better.

2. Closely monitoring competition and seeking opportunities that are missed which can help while onboarding new customers - this can be for business renewals, negotiating rates and renewing policies.

3. Speak to the customer on a regular basis to understand the product requirements and how we can bridge these gaps.

4. Work closely with the partnerships & marketing team in building solutions for newer customers.

5. Works towards gaining in depth knowledge of the companys products and services.

Team Management:

1. Helps teams grow their inter-personal skills as well soft skills that can lead to better achievement of business goals.

2. Mentor the team members on best practices and processes that can be followed to understand the current scenarios better and pave a way for them.

3. Help them become more proactive and passionate about their goals by encouraging, motivating and recognizing them on a regular basis.

- The successful candidate must be an experienced relationship developer with a keen entrepreneurial spirit, who can passionately embody Medi Assists vision.

Abilities that must have:

1. 8-12+ years of experience in the healthcare/insurance/TPA industry with a background in account management or sales

2. 8+ years of experience managing a team

3. Excellent industry knowledge with good contacts in the industry

4. Solid personal computing skills and comfort with new technologies

5. Team mentoring skills and demonstrated ability as a leader

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

7. Has demonstrated quantifiable results in previous roles

8. Has a knack to problem solving and must be detail oriented

9. Solid organizational, management, administrative and human relations skills in a style that exhibits maturity, leadership, sensitivity and teamwork.
