About Medhavi Skills University:

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) is a government notified and UGC, DGT & NSDC recognised Skills University of North East India, which has been established with the passage of the Medhavi Skills University Act 2021 by the Sikkim State Government. MSU is promoted by a group of IIT / IIM Alumni with a vision to bring convergence of the skilling ecosystem with the higher education tracks by promoting in-demand Skill Integrated Higher Education linked to Employability and career progression. MSU is the first of its kind pioneering university model where corporations/ industries are the stakeholders and influencers in curriculum design, programme delivery and for providing practical skills training via on-the-job training opportunities.

Overview of the Role:

As a new Skills University aligned to the provisions of the New National Education Policy 2020, we are looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals with a strong inclination toward an outcome-based and competency-based approach in teaching and training coupled with hands-on practical exposures.

The Individual will be responsible for overall development and managing the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programmes (AEDP) and facilitate and encourage a learning experience which can help students achieve their unique potential.

Responsibilities:

1. Understanding and execution of Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Program (AEDP) and other skill development programme with updated/current version.

2. Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning.

3. Manage a robust pipeline by developing a strategy to prioritize next year session plan.

4. Understand the target beneficiary, including industry, company, project, company contacts and which market strategies can be used to motivate youth.

5. Develop and analyse performance metrics to inform forecasting and develop strategies to further optimize the platform and refine the strategy.

6. Better understanding of students' placement and handholding process. Prepare plan of onboarding and post placement monitoring.

7. Collaborate with design and stakeholders to ensure that requirements are met.

8. Maintain relationships with current stakeholders and identify new prospects/ courses (short term and long term).

9. Follow the latest industry developments/ trends and stay up-to-date on corporate competitors.

10. Develop and manage programs to drive Partner-to-Partner and connection platforms.

11. Become an expert in a specific industry expertise, building credibility within the client organization to drive future meetings and map out engagement.

Key Competencies:

1. Have an excellent understanding of marketing tools and techniques to increase the visibility, profile and reputation of an organisation.

2. Have a good understanding of social media and the impact technology is having on communications and collaboration.

3. A strategic and creative thinker with proven experience of working on diverse and wide-ranging communication strategies including all forms of media.

4. The ability to build and maintain highly effective working relationships with a range of people (both internally and externally).

5. Experience of representing an organisation at external event.

6. Superior written and verbal communications skills

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Masters' Degree preferably in Marketing or related field from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Business Development or Product Development.

3. Hands-on Practice and Application Skills on recent Industry trends and technology are a must.

4. A combination of Academia and Industry Experience is preferable
