ABOUT COMPLIANCE TEAM @ MECH MOCHA You will be responsible to manage entirely the legal, statutory compliance and company secretarial aspects of the company. LARGER PURPOSE AND IMPACT -&nbsp; Being the first person in this role, you will be at the centerstage working directly with the Financial Controller and reporting to CEO of the company. Primary responsibilities include: - Advising company management on applicable laws and ensure compliance - Manage and ensure timely and accurate Regulatory Filings - Lead activities related to due diligence and funding - Drafting, reviewing and managing Contracts, NDAs, Policies, Statement of Work, Statutory And Corporate Reports, PoA, Letter Of Authorizations, etc. - Contract/agreement negotiations and discussions with vendors and partners, thereby ensuring legal aspects are adhered - Managing crucial data/documents of the company - Take charge of litigation to ensure that all cases are followed up accordingly - Will be responsible for Legal and the Internal Audit functions in the organisation - Manage the entire secretarial procedures of the company - Liaising with &amp; managing the Legal Counsel Take away from the role: - Exposure to corporate governance and legal compliances from a start-up point-of-view - Exposure to multiple aspects of a company secretary role in a fast-paced growing startup WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: - A qualified CS with minimum 3 years experience preferably in a startup - Strong company secretarial concepts - Strong practical knowledge in corporate laws/governance, legal compliance, regulatory filings, etc. - Organized, methodological, disciplined document management skills - An eye for detail with excellent written and oral communication skills - Up-to-date knowledge in compliance mandates and legal trends in the country - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within tight deadlines - Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Tools mainly Excel BROWNIE POINTS FOR: - Experience in Legal/Secretarial Counsel firms or Startups. - Exposure managing small team and/or external vendors/partners - Street smartness and exceptional communicator CAPABILITIES WE HIRE FOR: - Learning/Curiosity - You have a reading list, you follow the right people, you ask questions! - Self-Editing/Introspection - You course correct yourself, analyze how you did today, what can you fix? - Humility/Empathy - You respect your peers, you know how to give constructive feedback, you appreciate how hard everyone else's job is! - Open to Feedback-&nbsp; You take feedback seriously, you can take it from anyone and everyone and filter it well - Accountability - When - you take up something, it gets done!
