Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in handling income tax assessments, appeals, and other litigation matters before tax authorities.
- Draft submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and other correspondence with the Income Tax Department.
- Conduct legal and tax research on case laws, circulars, and notifications.
- Attend assessment hearings and represent clients before tax authorities (as applicable).
- Assist in preparing documentation and briefs for representation at appellate forums including CIT(A) and ITAT.
- Coordinate with clients for gathering necessary information and documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in direct tax laws, court rulings, and CBDT notifications.
Qualifications:
- CA qualification is mandatory (fresher or up to 2 years of relevant experience).
- Strong knowledge of Income Tax Act, assessments, appeals, and related procedures.
- Good understanding of tax litigation processes and compliance requirements.
- Excellent drafting, research, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
