Job description : - An excellent opportunity for a Sales Professional with experience in the FMCG industry and a good understanding of General Trade. - You will be responsible for strategizing and driving the expansion into new territories, building, leading, and managing high-performing teams across the region. - The incumbent would be leading complete sales & distribution and administrative responsibility for the region. Job Roles & Responsibilities: - Heading sales operations and customer management for the region and delivering business plans in line with the growth aspiration of the organization. - Responsible for planning and achieving monthly sales targets for geographies within the region and leading & assist ASMs in delivering Primary and Secondary numbers. - To plan for network expansion and execute the same through increased retail footprint, and DBR/Channel partner expansion. - Study market and proactively keep track of competition products, pricing, key activities, and new launches through market contact plans for self and team. Assess the impact of such activities and coordinate with Central teams to plan responses. - Identify & effectively implement (in consultation with the HO team) Key initiatives at the regional level in the areas of Market Development, Distribution expansion & Sales Operation. - Design and implement key performance metrics for the team for driving business performance and having the analytical approach towards the periodic review of the team on these leading and lagging indicators. - To work with the ASMs and the HR team on recruiting, building, and nurturing a performance-driven Sales team. To identify the training and development needs of the team below. - To work with the Central HR and Training teams in driving capability-building initiatives for the Front Line Sales Force, the Beauty Advisors, And Sales Executives through training programs on Product Knowledge, Selling Skills, and others. Candidate Profile - - Seasoned sales professionals with experience working with FMCG companies operating in Beauty & Personal Care. Past experience in handling channels viz. Cosmetics, Chemist, General Stores, and Self Service would be important. - MBA degree would be preferred. - The candidate must be adept at sales and distribution planning and should have handled a team in the past and in his current role. - Prior experience of a minimum of 5 years in General Trade in FMCG as an ASM/RSM is a must. - Experience in working on a Sales Force Automation system would be an advantage. The candidate should be able to use data analysis to support business planning and monitor performance. - The candidate MUST have working experience in the States of West Bengal in the same/similar role. Behavioral Competencies - - Good Communication Skills: Written and Verbal English, Attention to detail. - Ability to think analytically and take data-driven decisions. - Willing to travel across the region for about 15 days a month.
