Maxwell Energy Systems - Vice President - Operations

Maxwell is a fast-growing Tier-1 Electronics Component Suppliers for the Automotive Sector. We are looking for our executive leader for the Operations function who will manage the entire Ops team (Purchase, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Development, Production, and Quality).

- We are also in the process of setting up our own SMT line for in-house manufacturing which will also roll up into your function in the next 6-9 months. We are looking for a leader who has demonstrated experience in the electronics supply chain, procurement and manufacturing to lead ION's operations team.

- You should be willing to work in a "war-time" environment working with your team to help Maxwell overcome the semiconductor shortages and secure supply for the next 2 yrs. Maxwell is a young company and you should be willing to set up processes from scratch while directly overlooking the strategic initiatives of the SMT line and Vendor relations.

Requirements

- You have 15+ yrs of experience leading Purchase, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Relations, Production Planning, Costing, Quality & Logistics, and have individual team leads report into you

- You will need to devise a robust strategy to mitigate the crisis of semi-conductor shortages and secure the supply to continue production

- You must have strong vendor relationships with ALL the key semiconductor companies (Microchip, TI, Vishay, ADI, NXP, Nexperia, etc)

- You should be managing + taking full accountability for Purchases of 500+ Cr in your current role.

- You have experience with setting up and managing an Automotive-grade SMT line from scratch to SOP

- You have a detailed and comprehensive understanding of quality requirements and standards used in the automotive industry for Tier-1 Suppliers

- You have strong negotiation skills and the personality of a hustler to make this happen for your team

- You have a strong set of values that guide your decision making

- You have a clear understanding of the tools, and processes required to run a high-performance Ops team inside of an Auto Tier-1
