Job Description:
Position : Senior Manager - Project Management
Department : Products and Channel Marketing
Function : Product Management
Reporting to : Vice President & Head - Pricing
Band : 4A
Location : Gurgaon HO
JOB SUMMARY- This position will lead the project management and will have following responsibilities:
PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT:
PLANNING:
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
- Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
STAFFING:
- In consultation with the appropriate manager select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities
- Manage project staff according to the established policies and practices (time sheet)
- Establish clear ownership of the tasks and assign the same to relevant project members
IMPLEMENT:
- Execute the project according to the project plan
- Develop forms and records to document project activities
- Set up repository to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured for corporate memory
- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
COMMUNICATION:
- Prepare reports / presentation on the project for management
- Publish periodic updates to management / relevant stakeholders
- Take corrective action to address deviations in consultation with relevant stake holders
IRDA / PARMC GOVERNANCE:
- Timely submission of approved products final documents to regulator
- Timely Submission of Half yearly reports to regulator
- Timely Submission of ad hoc reports of regulator as and when required
- Tracking all PARMC approvals

2. Operational excellence and In force Management
- Creating and meeting all project milestones
- Developing project schedules, cross-functional deliverables, and detailed timelines
- Identifying and managing project priorities and dependencies
- Leading and managing cross-functional teams
- Driving team accountability for deliverables
- Identifying and minimizing project risk
MOS :
- Successful completion of IMU project
- Adherence to plan - >90 % for G1, >80% & < 90 % for G2 and < 80% for G3
3. Enable company to become future ready by supporting NWS & IFTIS delivery
- Preparing detailed project plan, resource plan and status reports.
- Capacity planning
- Manage the scoping process for each release, liaising with IT & Ops team.
- Successful execution of projects including major / minor product releases, maintenance releases
MOS :
- Enable System readiness (day 1/2), IFTIS & NWS readiness: Adherence to plan - >90 % for G1, >80% & < 90 % for G2 and < 80% for G3
4. IRDA / PARMC Reporting
- Timely various regulatory reports
- Adherence to PARMC approvals
Desired qualification and experience
- Graduate/PG in any discipline, with 4 - 8 years (or more) of experience
Key Relationships (Internal /External) :
Internal - Corporate Actuarial, IT, POS, Legal, Finance, Investments
External - Regulator
