About the Role:

Market Intelligence is a critical function at Max Life with a focus on competitive intelligence and business strategy. The role is responsible for tracking the key industry trends, analyzing competitor activities and adding value to the management decision process by way of providing meaningful insights as part of the business strategy process. The objective is to blend the external view (competition and economic environment) with the internal performance assessment and make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Track the economy, industry, competition and relevant trends and provide analysis to the business to facilitate key strategic decisions

- Conduct primary and secondary research (market study and analytics through research papers, interviews, mystery shopping etc) to provide early visibility to senior management about industry trends, competitors and industry environment changes

- Bring an outside in perspective to the business problem. Use networks within and outside of the industry as well as organization to learn best practices and evaluate how they can be used and applied to Max Life's business problems

- Prepare comprehensive market intelligence reports periodically and summary ofimportant industry reports for the senior management team

- Work with cross functional teams (including consultants) to identify and analyse keylevers impacting the process / work area

- Contribute in building strategies, work closely with - planning- team and drive changeactivities to achieve - best in class- competitiveness for the specific work area/ process

- Monitoring specific business processes; Analyzing monthly reports to providemeaningful insights to the leadership team

Experience Required:

- Prior experience in a similar function and/or insurance industry / research firm required

Key Skills Required:

- Attention to detail

- Strong MS Powerpoint and MS Excel knowledge

- Ability to work with cross functional teams; Strong networking and inter- personal skills

- Strong work ethic and ability to create a healthy challenge basis conviction and data - highly numerate and data interpretation skills (analytical in nature)
