Location : Gurgaon, Haryana

Product & channel Management (PCM) is a focal team for ideating, collaborating, coordinating and monitoring of new product sand take up odifications to existing product suite. Furthermore, PCM is responsible for enabling top line achievement and protection of bottom line within his/herassigneddistribution channel.

The job holder will be primarily responsible for supporting and jointly working on:

1. Identification & communication from the channel head of new product opportunities and definition of product specifications

2. Product performance reporting with suggested areas of improvements that the channel can adopt

3. Sales Stories/concept identification, testing & implementation in the field

4. Product filing & lifecycle management.

5. Undertake & support relevant projects from time to time to further enhance the products eco-system

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

New Product identification and development : 40%

- Identification of new product opportunities, and communication back & forth from the channel. Working closely with the pricing team as & when necessary to ensure competitive & relevant pricing.

- Project management and co-ordination with other departments like Operations, Finance and Marketing

- Responsible for creating sales literature, filing and launch readiness of new products

- Support competition benchmarking activities within the team

Channel Management: 50%

- Enable distribution to optimize the topline and bottom line results as per plan set for the year

- Identification of trends and improvement areas which help distribution performance

- Collaborate & coordinate with other departments to ensure channel initiatives are launched and run smoothly.

- Help in execution of the product strategy, business planning and strategy deployment basis market trends and company strategy

Management reporting: 10%

- Management reporting and product dashboard delivery

- Regular market updates and implications for Max Life

Preference :

- Candidate with experience in product management of a life insurance company preferred

- Candidate with experience in product management of a health company preferred

- Candidate with experience in Agency strategy / sales experience preferred but not a show stopper.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS :

- On time delivery of product filing plans: Quarter-wise adherence & delivery of EMC approved product calendar

- Adherence to regulatory boundaries for product development

- Consistent and error free document creation for product filing and approval

- Comprehensiveness of market & sales analysis

- Smooth coordination with other departments: Regular project management and updates to senior management

- Timely and accurate management reporting at agreed timelines to enable decision making for leadership

KEY COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED

- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel

- Ability to work with cross functional teams, strong networking and inter/personal skills

- Data interpretation skills (analytical in nature)

- Detail/oriented, organized, critical thinker with strong work ethics

- Good interpersonal & communication skill

MINIMUM EDUCATION/MINIMUM /SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:

- Preference to candidates with MBA from a good business school with excellent academic track record.

- Total experience of 7-10 years in financial services or consulting.
