Role Overview:

The Manager- Learning & Development is a strategic partner to business and all other functions /departments across Matrimony. The role would be responsible for identifying training needs, creating customized content while working closely with the relevant team, implementation of learning solutions and measuring learning effectiveness. The manager would also be responsible for driving initiatives as well as incorporating best practices. The manager L&D will work closely with all stakeholders in delivering business goals and objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Partnering with all functions and departments across Matrimony to identify and evaluate training needs

- Creating customized training content closely working with the Content Development team

- Providing inputs / best practices/case studies/examples for content creation

- Preparing robust rollout plans and adhering to the training plan thus prepared

- Publishing of MIS, reports, data highlighting the interventions, coverage and impact from the program

- Facilitate programs (Pan India ) across all job bands and levels and spanning multiple areas including personal and managerial effectiveness and building leadership capabilities

- Deploy learning across various methods including web learning, mobile learning, on job coaching

- Measuring and publishing the success & effectiveness of the training interventions

- Maintaining relationships with vendors and consultants

- Help employees make best use of learning opportunities thus creating a - Learning Culture- in sync with the value of Matrimony

Skills and Competencies:

- Proven relevant experience as L&D manager

- Knowledge of effective learning methods and tools

- Excellent communication and facilitation skills

- Strong proficiency in Tamil and English. Knowledge of Hindi would be an added advantage

- Familiarity and experience in e-learning and LMS platforms

- Strong proficiency in excel skills

- Assertive personality with strong negotiation skills

- Relationship and nurturing mind-set

- Demonstrated ability to independently develop, drive and contribute to overall strategy and business plans in a rapidly developing/changing environment.

- Team player who quickly builds trust and collaborative working relationships with business leaders and partners

- Influence, collaborate and facilitate with all stakeholders

- Regular Management reporting and metrics

Education and Experience:

MBA HR or post-graduation via distance learning from one of the premier schools, with minimum 5+ years of professional experience in Learning & Development. Degree /certifications in psychometric instruments, train the trainer would be an added advantage

Proficiency in Tamil is a must have.
