Role: Manager Materials

Location: Pune

Role Overview:

- Head complete end-to-end warehousing operations (internal and external warehouses) and transactions with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure inventory accuracy through measurements on IRA and cycle counts, compliance's in terms of standard / target costs, quality requirement and compliance's, identify and lead projects on cost reduction. Have the ability to consistently challenge the status quo and trigger initiatives towards efficient and accurate material management.

- Liaise cross-functionally for streamlined operations and fuel constant motivation to the team and develop newer talents and knowledge-driven atmosphere. Be able to inspire and motivate a team of 25+ reporting directly and indirectly in the function.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-wise material movements and transactions following the laid down norms, inward into the company as well as outward through the various locations, both in ERP and manual record keeping books.

- Lead efforts in maintaining high degree of inventory accuracy, implementation of tools like cycle count, TAT, aging, safety stocks levels etc.

- Ensure consistent improvement levels of productivity through the team with zero or minimum wastage's, optimum manpower utilization and highly efficient and disciplined work processes.

- Lead a complete team of managers, officers and operators to a high energy, efficient, disciplined and positive working environment.

- Lead the efforts in identification and implementation of continuous improvement / 5S initiatives and inputs to company's CAPEX spends across all aspects of warehousing operations.

- Ensure live updated stock keeping at all locations, inventory accuracy and fast retrieval of stocks through manual WMS or ERP system stocks.

- Continually work to develop skill-set of manpower at all levels and ensure right skill and no. of associates on all the positions, basis need.

- Lead efforts in shortest TAT's and highly efficient and accurate warehousing operations

- Ensure gaps are continually identified and filled through a process-driven approach for all areas relevant to the function, including hygiene and upkeep of warehouses.

- Ensure high levels of hygiene in the warehouses through continuous training programs and identification of right tools and periodicity on execution.

- Lead efforts for continuous training of staff and workers and mechanism to develop high talent and skills amongst them.

- Promptly and proactively seek guidance and escalate matters to supervisors as and when needed. Follow the standard escalation procedures for all deviations against the routine.

- Lead continuous improvement and 5S initiatives on the shop-floor across warehouse locations with an intent to make the company managed warehouses best-in-class following industry leading best practices.

- Develop continuous channels of communications through team meetings / one-to-one discussions cross-functionally.

- Ensure ERP system is always / real-time updated and book stock is in line with physical stock, maintaining transparency across the materials operations - lead by example in upkeep of the same.

Qualifications:

- B.A./ B.Com / B.Sc. / B.E. / MBA - warehousing / supply chain relevant 10-15 years of work experience

- Out-of-the-box thinking, energetic and positive attitude, ability to challenge the status-quo

- Highly process-driven and acute ability to take decisions.

- Ability to handle people and related administrative issues efficiently.

- Self - motivated, Assertive, quick learner and Result oriented.
