Job Overview:

- Provides design specifications for and develops new products and services or their components. Defines functional and technical requirements. Researches new technologies and competitive products to develop additional product ideas and enhancements. Performs launch-related activities associated with new or highly customized product implementations, including marketing/communication and collateral. Defines business and technical requirements and manages the relationships of technical resources and the Global Technology Organization to maintain and build out platforms

Role:

- Develop and advocate processing platform to meet the needs of customers, generate new revenue for MasterCard, and create competitive advantage in the market

- Lead the design and development of new products application and establish required partnerships to bring new propositions /solutions

- Identify strategic business-building opportunities in products and solutions that can be offered to customers

- Be an industry expert to determine new needs and innovations that MasterCard may want to investigate

- Solicit feedback from various internal stakeholders and customer teams regarding new platform ideas so as to enhance existing platforms

- Direct the creation and presentation of business cases supporting a new product concept or platform enhancement

- Ensure appropriate use of and compliance with the New Product Development/Go-To-Market (NPD/GTM) Process from concept through launch

- Be an ambassador of the new platform and engage Product Management, Sales and Account Management teams on features and benefits of the offerings

- Drive strategic and financial planning efforts and oversee management of the department

- Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained for current needs as well as anticipated growth and/or changes

- Lead department in completion of objectives and assess management staff against established measures

- Ensure that department objectives are aligned with the overall Business strategy and that individual team members are evaluated against same

- Define metrics and measurements to assess customer satisfaction

- Manage departmental expenses against defined budget

All About You

- Experience in payment product conceptualization, design and development specially in the cards, digital and e- commerce domain

- Detailed knowledge of the payments business coupled with the ability to translate customers- needs into revenue generating product designs

- In-depth experience managing design and development of new card programs, including leading successful card product development and launch

- Proven track record of developing compelling business cases and obtaining required approvals and funding to proceed

- Experience developing and managing department budgets

- Experience in developing products for U.S. and international markets

- Experience directing teams to high performance levels

- Extensive knowledge of leadership principles, theories and concepts

- Deep understanding of the payments product development life cycle and payments product management principles

- Ability to develop, define and execute a business strategy to solve an existing business problem and/or open a new business opportunity

- Business acumen with the ability to create solutions that produce positive results for the customer and MasterCard

- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to deliver compelling presentations

- Best-in-class negotiation and management skills

- Strong project management skills

- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player in a highly matrix environment across functions and regions

- Ability to interact and navigate effectively across all organizational levels
