The Global In-house Center (GIC) Total Rewards Senior Manager is a well-rounded experienced compensation professional who thrives working in a highly matrixed environment. - The role ensures our rewards programs are competitive, sustainable, legally compliant, and have a positive impact on the short and long term performance of the GIC. The Total Rewards Senior Manager supervises a team of professional level employees supporting multiple Marsh McLennan business units. It acts as a key advisor to the GIC HR People Partners and helps manage various sized compensation projects that have significant impact on the organization. - The position reports into the GIC Total Rewards Leader. Job Profile Description - Develops, communicates and administers competitive total rewards strategies including, but not limited to, compensation and benefits that are retentive, cost effective and consistent with labor market trends and organizational objectives. - Provides senior level compensation consulting services, including job evaluation processes, and interacts with HR and business leaders on a various of compensation related issues while analyzing complex situations. - Manages various sized compensation related projects that have significant impact on the organization, including variable compensation plan design, job evaluation system implementation, and work streams for the year-end planning process. - Establishes project objectives, develops project plans, manages timelines and resources, and engages stakeholders at all levels seeking and securing approval for project costs. - Delivers advanced compensation analysis including generation and interpretation of complex reports from large databases as well as manipulation of these databases in order to manage employee data. - Prepares compensation proposals and budgets and consolidates data analysis for business focused recommendations based on the analysis and communicates those recommendations to leadership. - Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures, providing insights and recommendations which support the GIC strategy and objectives. - Maintains pay structures by recommending, planning and implementing structural adjustments to ensure internal and external equity. - Ensures compensation programs are administered in compliance with local legal requirements by studying existing and new employment legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions. - Monitors ongoing analysis of external compensation trends including market data surveys, benchmarking, market pricing and market competitiveness analysis to provide consulting expertise. - Oversees the management of our benefits vendor relationships, benefits contracts, and bid negotiation. - Provides input into hiring, promotion, termination, salary, and bonus decisions for direct reports. Qualifications and Requirements : - B.A. or B.S./PG degree required (U.S. or foreign equivalent) - A minimum of 10+ years of relevant Total Rewards experience - Strong oral and written communication skills; demonstrated presence and ability to communicate well with others - Ability to think strategically, as well as lead and coach more junior members of the team, particularly with analytics and problem solving - Ability to develop relationships, collaborate effectively and influence at all levels of the organization - Digital savviness and ability to analyze large complex datasets to extract actionable insights - Deep understanding of job content, organization structure and strategic priorities - Rewards certifications are a plus
