MMC is a Fortune 200 Company with presence in over 140 countries, 70,000 colleagues and annual revenue of $15 billion and growing. - JLT India is the knowledge center for the MMC companies with expertise in employee benefits, insurance broking, reinsurance broking, analytics, research, consulting, financial management and information technology. - It provides services to Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and MMC through its operations services, research, investment consulting, analytics, consulting operations, specialized accounting, fiduciary accounting, management consulting and IT services. - The overall purpose of this position is to lead Sales and Marketing Support for the Wealth UK business of Mercer from the Centre of Excellence in Mumbai. - The Sales Support Lead will be a collaborator, a great communicator who will work with sales leaders, consultants, bid teams, marketing teams for the Wealth vertical of Mercer to aid revenue generation and delivery of powerful marketing content. - The candidate is expected to demonstrate experience of running pursuits management, having self delivered high value bids and having run multi skilled bid and marketing teams. S/he is also expected to cultivate the culture of design based story telling across the function. - The candidate is expected to have worked with international stakeholders and clients with appreciation of cultural sensitivities in country and business needs of the operating companies ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES : Responsibility : - Lead a high performance team of bid managers, sales reporting specialist and graphic designers to deliver winning bids for the organisation - Project manage key deliveries from the CoE acting as the face for the Creative Services team to internal customers and stakeholders. - Responsible for gate-keeping requests that come to Creative Services and responsible for timely delivery to the highest quality standards - Lead consultation with stakeholders to provide alternative options for creative outputs or design solutions for critical marketing, sales support and client engagement collateral - Stay abreast of developments in the market/industry to provide insights to the team and stakeholders. - Ensure all delivery is on brand and conduct brand audits as appropriate - Upskill self to stay aware of changing tools, technologies and trends particularly in the graphic design and marketing areas - Hire appropriate skills and build individual capability development and training plans across work streams of bid, graphic design, value props and marketing - Should be able to deliver good looking and high quality outputs themselves as well POSITION SCOPE : Management responsibility : (i.e., hiring, coaching, scheduling / delegating work, performance reviews) Number of direct reports : 3 Total reports : (Direct and indirect) : 6 (will build further) : Project management : (i.e., indirect management of project teams) Typical project team size Manages multiple projects? (Yes/No) : Yes Percentage of time spent on project management : 50% KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Education : Post Graduate in Marketing/Mass Comm preferred Experience : Exposure to graphic and digital design, preferably in consulting firms or similar corporate environment is mandatory. - Experience of leading teams to service international clients/stakeholders is mandatory. - Experience of content writing or editorial will be preferred Knowledge and skills (general and technical): Behavioural Competencies : - Strong stakeholder communication skills (presentation) and the ability to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical) - Ability to ably tell the story of skills present in the department to senior stakeholders - Ability to listen but to also challenge ideas and provide alternative solutions - Ability to use design, content and marketing skills to create compelling use cases for business to generate greater revenue Design : - At least 10 years creative experience, having led mid to large bid, content and design teams - preferably in management consulting firms or high profile ad agencies - Needs to be adept at PowerPoint and Word to build content
