Purpose of the Position (Job Summary) :

At the company marketing is about understanding people and building awareness about how our products/services can satisfy their needs. The Agri Input Division of thecompany is looking for an experienced and versatile Marketing Manager for its fast growing Crop Protection business.

The role incumbent is the custodian of the Brand for the fast growing Crop Protection Business. Working closely with the Head - Crop Protection, he will be responsible to lead building a robust product portfolio to drive sustainable growth and an active contributor to other strategic growth projects. The Marketing Manager will effectively contribute towards all product evaluations at field level, product launches, positioning of the products, and their performance for first two seasons after launch in addition to work cohesively with cross functional teams on day-to-day marketing activities.

Key Individual Accountabilities :

Strategic :

1. Marketing & Product Management: Analyze Crop Pest Product trends anticipated in future and lead

a. New Product Development

b. Product Life Cycle Management

c. Portfolio management

d. Co-marketing strategies

2. Business Development : Relationship Management with the product principles for pipeline products and future pipeline development ;

3. Price - Strategic support on the price analysis and trends at industry levels

4. Promotion & branding - Branding direction and support Handling and managing pre launches for existing growth projects and new inclusions

a. Protocol Definition for marketing trials

b. Execution, supervision of Marketing Demos

c. Product Launch -Budgets and Approvals

d. Label and Packaging Design

e. FAB & USP's - Communication strategy, Promotional material,

f. Packing and packaging implementation;

g. Material preparation & logistic, vendors etc.

h. Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows, working with developers, advertisers

Financial :

1. Business Planning and management : Support and facilitate in designing, implement, and achieving the Annual marketing plan for CP Vertical, Zones and regions

2. Develop and support implement marketing plans and projects for new product and key existing products; Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects

3. To support and guide the zones and regions in developing customized marketing strategies and to work closely with operations on monitoring and evaluating the implementation of those strategies

Customer/ External Orientation :

1. Strategize Customer Engagement activities for CP business to enahance the brand equity.

2. Working closely with the Vertical Head and other stakeholders for long term strategic relationship management with key partners

People Orientation :

1. Strengthen employee engagement and cultivate culture of high performance

2. Ensure regular review of team performance and provide development inputs through identification of training needs and nominating for training programs.

3. Communicate and maintain trust relationships with customers, business partners and authorities

Core operational accountabilities :

1. Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by

a. Building a robust growth oriented product portfolio to generate sustainable business in the line of long term strategic plan

b. Planning cost effective high impact sustainable marketing campaigns

2. Leading the exaction of sales promotion activities for building strong brands and generating consistent demand in line of Annual Business Plan
