Channel Development Manager

Strategic Objective :

- Marico is foraying in a big way into New Products. One of the key differentiators for a new product is a strong promoter organization which becomes the backbone for driving awareness, trials of these products in store. The role under consideration is one which would be responsible for setting up and managing this organization end to end

Location for Hiring : Mumbai (Head Office)

Internal Marico Grade : Manager

Key Job Responsibilities :

- Set up the entire promoter channel working for the organization enabling execution excellence and strategic outlook

Key Tasks would include :

a. Agency Identification and finalization

b. Designing and executing Promoter Boot Camps

c. Liasing with brand teams to develop and deploy on-going training content

d. Designing and deploying of FF incentives

e. Liasing with key stakeholders (For MT with MT Head and for GT with GT Sales Head) to close quarterly plans, identification and alignment of stores for deploying promoters

f. Setting of monthly/quarterly and annual targets for promoter stores

g. Daily Business Tracking/Review with 3P Agencies

h. Overall project co-ordination with 3P Agency

i. Ensure robust performance management processes are set up and complied with for the entire promoter organization

Key Role Interfaces :

Internal : (Field Sales Team (GT and MT) (ASMs/DSDMs for GT and MT ASMs for Modern Trade), Channel Leads (GT Sales Head/MT Sales Head)

External : 3P Agency (Agency Project Co-ordinator)

Key Guidelines for shortlisting :

1. First priority to be given to candidates with Promoter Channel Manage/ Shopper Marketing experience in FMCG companies

2. Second priority to be given to entry level managers working currently with FMCG companies (Passouts from Tier 1 B-Schools with 1-2 years of Sales Experience)

Reporting Structure : (Upstream) : This role will report to the Customer Marketing Head and will have a dotted line reporting to the Trade Marketing Head

Reporting Structure : (Downstream) : This role will have 1 reportee i.e. an Executive - Promoter Channel (based out of Mumbai HO)
